Immodium for withdrawal question

Hello,

I'm on day three now and this has been quite a breeze for me. Not without some discomfort, but after takeing prescribed 7,5 percs three times a day for a year and a half, why aren't my withdrawals that bad? I find this interesting. Could it be because of the zofran that helps me eat like a pig (healthy) and keep water down?
Anyway,my pain is TOTALLY gone today. I've not had to take one ibuprofen and I feel very clear headed. A little tired as sleep was a little restless last night from dog awakening me. I feel great except for the stomach cramping I've been having this morning. I took Immodium yesterday morning for stomach cramps and they disappeared. This morning, cramping again, had a SMALL bm, and feeling a little nauseous. Took zofran, ate breakfast, took one immodium, but still a little cramping. What I worry about is getting so constipated that I won't be able to go.

Any suggestions? I did take a soft laxative yesterday afternoon. I want to be very careful with this stuff and not overdo. How long should I take this and is it going to be hell on earth for stomach cramping when I stop taking it? I don't want to get so constipated that I can't go at all.

Thank you for your help

You might try taking a stool softener, as they are not as harsh as laxatives. Or eat more fiber, drink more water, that sort of thing. Digestion probably takes a while to re-balance, after all those opiate receptors have been impacted (no pun intended) by drugs for a while.

I'm really happy to hear that you are having a fairly easy time of it :) Sorry you had to wait a bit for replies--I find that sometimes it's quite busy on here and sometimes you can hear the crickets and have to wait a while. But everyone on here really seems sympathetic and helpful. Take care.

Wow, that's amazing! No withdrawals? How long were you using?

"Lopes" as they are called are actually a "wonder drug" when you are withdrawing. They say to take a lot of them to combat the terrible withdrawal symptoms. I have used them before after a light binge and they worked wonders! Yes, it may take you a few days to "go" but eventually you will. :-)

Consider yourself lucky for not having to suffer through withdrawal. It's perhaps the worst kind of sickness, for me anyway, that I've ever had to endure!

Good luck!

Hi silver,  im sorry nobody has responded to you yet.  Sometimes I do t get responses for a while.  Depends on the day and time of day.   Sounds to me like you are doing all the right things.   The worst of the diarrhea and stomach issues usually stop after the first 100 hours.   You may have some lingering around a bit for a while after, but for me its always a morning thing.    I don't know what zofran is, but good it makes you eat!  You sound like you are getting through this pretty well.

Seems the last two posts have gone not responded too.

For a "community" of supporters, being ignored while you're trying to get through withdrawal is really unkind.

I'll go somewhere else, but I don't be forwarding this place to anyone who needs healing from withdrawal
