Important Question

Now that I have the clonidine, I can start weaning myself off of the percocet. But I was really thinking, I still have back pain in the evening and sometimes in the morning, why am I getting off now? I feel great 40 Min after I take it and I'm able to relax while the affects kick in. Why do I need to give that up, especially of I still not 100% sure I'm an Addict?
Can anyone tell me the answer?

well, the only limit to our realization of tomorrow, will be our doubts of today.  All the best.

Thanks for all of your help. I never imagined that my back surgery would/could and has turned into someting so complicated. You read about pain killer addictions, but I never dreamed such a thing could've happened to me, that's called real denial~

Thats right only you know and if you feel like you could have a problem or are developing a problem talk to your doctor and maybe they can give you some advice or put you on another med. Best wishes

Something I found out about a month ago...many of these pain meds cause skeletal muscle rigidity, nice huh?

Only you know the answer.  A lot of the time our pain tolerance is hightened during the use of narcotics.  We are so used to being comfortable that without the meds, or even once they start to wear off,  we feel every little pang, scrape, muscle/bone aches, headaches, back aches etc.  I know i had a back ache FREQUENTLY during my using.  Even during and after my withdrawl it continued, but after about 3 months, it was completely gone.  All the best.
