Internet Drug Companies

The internet drug companies have been calling me often here lately. I keep telling them to take me off their calling list but they don't. I have no desire to give in. That is an awesome feeling. I know I brought it all on myself but any thoughts on getting rid of these calls?

it does not seem to be tempting u, so that is good...i would even change mmy number if it was...i am glad i never found these drug companies online...expensive i bet but probably cheaper than off the streets....stay strong...

i have major credit card debt too. i was stupid (or desperate) enough to give them my work number so i better not be changing that number. do i call the phone co to block numbers? some of the calls are unavailable and some have numbers and one has 1111.
the calls aren't tempting just annoying.

am not sure about that but call the phone co. and see what they say.  I had an actual number to give them.  Good luck!!!!

My potty mouth has stopped a couple calls here!!!!  My mother would be soooo proud!!!

Internet drug,Cos-work through the computer.I can see them,sending you advertisements if you are a former customer,but how and why did they get your home-phone. That doesant sound right.,of all the people,they start calling you!!

When you get a call, tell them you are interested and want to talk with them.  Then, ask if they can hold the phone while you "close the door".

Next, put down the phone (don't hang up) and leave them sitting awaiting your return.

Hang up the phone after about 30 minutes later without saying anything.  

This works because time is their enemy.  Many know this "response" and will write you off knowing you'll do it again to them in the future.  

Stay clean...and, have fun teaching these rude callers that you are smarter than they are.

CNN is running a special report on this tonight and I believe anyone who has been tempted to use one of these online drug dealers should watch. Not sure of the time, but think it might be 8PM Eastern.

In addition to what 1911 suggests, I would do the following:

1) Register both your home/work numbers on the Do Not Call Registry.

2) File a complaint against the company name or number

They take the do not call lists very seriously, because they can lose their company otherwise.  It's not worth it too them to have that risk. You can also just tell them you are on the DNC registry. They usually have button to flag your record so they don't get in trouble. You an get on the registry at do not call (dot) gov

I ran a telesales campaign ten years ago with 1000 reps.  The do not call registry is one of their biggest problems with their future.

thanks for all the tips. i was told you can't register a business with the DNC. i was thinking about threatning them with the attorney general here. I never thought of putting them on hold for a long time. You know its all my fault this is happening. i had 2 calls today. its a part f my life I want to learn from and leave behind.
