I was happy to finally understand by reading this thread that all these years you thought "lol" meant "lots of love", because I too must admit I scratched my head about that more than once on a serious post....hahaha!
When I first got back on the computer in 2012 after a few years of not being on it at all, my family kept sending me emails with <3 in them.  I was so brain fogged I didn't know it was the latest computer "lingo" for "heart you" or "I love you".  I didn't truly get it until I turned my head side ways...LOL

It has been wonderful to see your added presence on our forum here....and I couldn't be happier for you, Vic♥

Kansas..Maybe this site will help you think about coming off those pain pills for good! That is if your pain can be controlled in other ways. You will be surprised how many do this with out them kind of meds.

I'm new, but you are the first person who spoke to me, and what you say comes across so well, from the heart.  You are great for your new post.  I just read one of your replies, to Tramadol Trap I believe, wherein you reminded me of a very good saying I learned in AA "You are only as sick as your darkest secret ."  I may have quoted wrongly, but it is SO true.
Right now I am fighting feeling so down on myself for getting myself in my current mess.  I know better.  But like others have said, I may be making the whole ordeal I'm getting ready to go through worse in my mind than it will be.  Anyway, enough of me, me, me.  Tired of me.

ha ha ha!   yes, Vickie i realized a while back that you meant 'lots of love' because at first i could not figure out why you would be laughing at some of the things you said to me!!!!!!!!  i think i wrote about the acronym in a j, too.  as far as i know, and i'm not the expert, any form of 'lol,' lower case, upper case, or what not, means 'laughing out loud'.  however, in the lexicon it has come to mean a lot of things, informally (imo) and a lot of people seem to just use it as punctuation when they don't necessarily mean its funny.  they just don't know what to say or something like that.  but your version, 'lots of love' is very sweet and endearing.  i like it!  keeps you guessing

I will Vicki, I'm just going through so much right now. I was thinking today, there's no way I could have managed my current situation on drugs.
