Is this normal?

After cutting down to half of my regular dose of Oxy's for the last two days I feel fine but I have not had a minute of sleep in two nights. No rls but alot of turning over and restlessness. Second night of sitting at my computer at 4 or 5am and I'll be a zombie if I don't get some sleep soon. Should I be looking into getting some sleeping pills? Otherwise I feel fine.

Oxy was my drug of choice and I have been off of them for over 60 days and I still have some sleep issues. Some nights I will sleep fine and others I will be awake alot. I think time is the only real solution for the issue, but having said that I did use Tylenol PM with some successful nights and also Melatonin (all natural) with some successful nights also. I would suggest you at least buy the all natural stuff and give it a shot. Oh make sure to buy the kind marked as mgs instead of mcgms and this stuff can be purchased at your local grocery store, drug store, or the wonderful Walmart!!
If you have any other specific Oxy related questions you can always PM me and I will get back to you with what worked for me. I was abusing alot of the 80 mg's per day and all up the nose too!!

I hear ya man....I'd do just about anything for real, bona fide sleep.  ..and sleep aids are fine, as long as you don't need 'em too long and wind up becoming dependant on them, or psychologically addicted...even if you don't get dependant on them, you can get a wicked rebound insomnia after stopping them...so it's best to only do it ocassionally.

If the aminos I'm picking up today work, I'll give you a shout out Steve.....have fun in Zombie Land today..you may see me...lol

At this point I'd super glue my eyelids shut if I thought it would make me fall asleep.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I should'nt get myself addicted to sleep aids right? I tried counting sheep but gave up at 106,462.

Unfortunately Steve, it IS normal to not sleep after w/d ing.  This can go on for different amounts of time for everybody.  I'm over four months out now, and still having a rough time with the whole sleep issue...from people here, and what I've read, it can go on for a much longer time.  Some folks have good results with o-t-c remedies like sleep aids, Benadryl, or herbals.  I have not.  I'm going to try some aminos next.  A prescription sleep aid is always something you can do, but I'd think hard about it first.  Try everything else first...
