It's good to know that I'm not going crazy! I would have to say my hands are the worst. Thanks for the advice! I'm willing to try anything to get rid of this itching!
As usual, Clean_In_KS is on the money. The only thing I would add is to do the brushing dry before you get into the water. This helps move the lymph fluid around your body and increases circulation. Your skin is the body's largest detox system. So, this really helps. Take a bath brush or loofah and start w/ circular motions on the soles and tops of your feet. Then stroke the front, back and sides of your legs - your belly in a circular motion - then up to your heart. Circular motions on your breasts and down from the neck and shoulders to your heart. Downward strokes on your back and from your fingertips to your shoulders on the tops and undersides of your arms. Also, down your armpits and sides to your hips.... Oh yeah, and circular strokes on your butt. (you thought I was going to leave that out, eh?) Then get into your warm or hot shower and rinse. If you can turn it to cold for a couple of seconds to get your circulation going that would help. This is a super healthy thing to do every day. It's called 'Dry Brushing' and should help w/ the itching, your skin in general, your immune system and detoxification.
Yep, w/drew from Lortabs, too. Yes....on the itching.....it will pass...
but if you are an obsessive "scratcher" like me, I had to put lotion on my skin areas that were itching like crazy and use a good brush on my scalp.
Taking a shower and using a loofah and scalp scratcher, followed with a good lotion, helped me a TON!
The old is passing away......and ALL things are becoming NEW~
When I withdrew I'd break out in a sweat. That indeed caused itching. If your humidity is low in your house, that will add to the itching.
I forgot to mention withdrawal from Lortab.
