Itchy scalp

About to be 42 days.. Anyway starting just 3 days ago my scalp started itching like crazy.. It's like a constant tingling/slight burning sensation and I scratch it and my hair is falling out like crazy.. It's not like noticeable yet but at this rate it will be soon. I doubt it's normal balding coming on so fast.

I did some research and found that I either have alopecia, or my hormones are changing. Alopecia isn't serious and doesn't usually need treatment, it usually resolves itself. But as for the hormones, does vicodin alter your hormones and you think this my brain currently making adjustments back to normal? Did anybody else notice anything similar after some clean time?

Lol I do follow a strict diet.. And no I'm not under stress.. It may not be withdrawal related cause I feel pretty much back to normal other than that. If anything the itchy scalp is causing stress haha.

Itchiness can be a side effect when u r taking narcs...unusual 42 days post...but we are all different

I am female and know bout the hair thinning as well...did not occur during anytime in my addiction nor shortly after....it was over 2 yrs later when i experienced alot of stress...i lost it like crazy,,,mine wasnt balding just thinning of my hair.  I took a vitamin called biotin and it helped!
Then boom, the company i work for closed and I found myself unempoloyed and it happened again!  I re-ordered biotin and take it everyday

Congrats on 42 days! That's great!  I have never experienced this or heard much about this myself, but I did know a member on here who said he had tingling in his head for quite a while after he quit.  I don't know anything about the hormone questions, just wanted to say good job on the 42 days :)
