Its That Time! June 2015 Roll Call!!

Hello everybody! Its a new month...so that means its time for the roll call. This is the place where you post your clean time or just introduce yourself. It doesn't matter if you dont have any clean time at all....use this thread as a chance to break the ice and reach out. There are a lot of people who are afraid to post for many different reasons. People come here and unfortunately we never get to meet them. Please dont be one of them and let us know your out there. So....if you have 100 years clean or your still struggling to get that one day....we would love to hear from you.

WOW I am waaaay behind on this!  Sorry folks. ..been "lurking" before I jumped in and joined--but today, June 12, is day 10 of a brand new life for me. If it wasn't for some of the AMAZING people on here I wouldn't have stuck with it--hearing other stories and being able to offer my 2 cents here and there has helped more than you realize.

Congrats and big kudos to EVERYONE whether it's day 1 or day 6475. Keep posting, keep praying,  keep working. WE CAN DO THIS!

55 days and counting off Subs Nicotine Fried Foods Gambling Xanax and Soda.

I'm still semi withdrawing this far out.  My system is shocked.  However it's all worth it even this far out! Can't wait to get years under my belt.  Peace to you all.

JayFive, Tapering off of Suboxone, Kloponin and a few other trivial meds. I have a goal in sight! I'm honored to be a part of this community. :)

Today marks 1072 days since my last street methadone dose. This process has been way harder and way more rewarding than I anticipated. Therefore I suggest, anticipate nothing, do what it takes in the moment and respond to life as it comes. There is nothing to go back to, forward progress is the only real choice, everything else is reaction rather than pro-action. Do what it takes for today, you will not regret the worst of it.

Hi, I'm new here, but unfortunately not new to the whole addiction scene...
I've been dry from booze since April 26th, and taking it day by day ~ so far so good. I've fallen off the wagon many times, but I keep dusting myself off and climbing back on...
I've been free from nicotine for nearly 4 years...
I've been reading through many threads here, and those who respond seems very genuine and helpful ~ which is very cool, imo

Hi Everyone and Congratulations to ALL!!!!

My name is Vickie
983 off of all street drugs and prescribed meds

4071 off the Bar stool and the booze from the store

All this time I have had a long physical recovery and a very long run for the brain to flip back. I had lost most of my Family during my Recovery and had 2 Heart Procedures. I still have bouts of depression on missing my love ones and the circle that was broken.
BUT I still will keep trucking on and on.

The Lord is my Savior!!!
Bless

Hello, all.  I have been on and off this site for a couple of years.  I enjoy trying to help people when I think I can.  I have generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, schitzophrenia, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, some mild psychotic episodes, and non-epileptic seizure activity aka 'brain zaps'.  For these, I see a psychiatrist every 6 weeks, my regular doctor every 3 months, and 2 counselors every week or two.  I have had a 2-week nervous breakdown, countless panic attacks, and bouts with alcohol in an attempt to self medicate.  I have done time in a psych ward for my 3rd attempt at suicide.  I now have a med regimen that includes Zoloft, Klonopin, Seroquel, Tramadol, and Vistiril.  Ithas been a long, hard road getting the correct help and medications.  I have 3 alternate personalities whom I don't identify as being 'ME':  'Flower' is five years old, and has a pet unicorn who is purple, she loves to draw and play games and do anything fun.  'Katana' is 25, and acts as my protector, in non-dangerous ways, and she is also in charge of my sex/romantic life.  'Jag' is male, unknown age, and kept in a steel cage, because all he is is pure animal RAGE.  Wow, that was a poem!  Anyhow, nice to meet all the new ppl, and re-unite with friends here.  Have a blessed day, all.  - Blu

85 or is it 86? days off over a decade and a half use of opiates. It is awesome that I've started to forget how many days I've been clean. That means I'm busy living and have stopped counting-progress in my eyes. 0 days off nicotine but I will persevere with that until I am successful.

To all those just starting their journey, I wish from the bottom of my soul that I could give you just a glimpse of how much better life will be in such a relatively short period of time. It would give you the strength and motivation to push through. If I knew how much better my life would soon be, it would have greatly reduced all the anxiety I had in the beginning. Every god-awful moment I went through ( and I had my fair share!) was so worth it to be where I am now. And the best is yet to come!
