One of my neighbors who is elderly and has health problems is my friend.  But it looks like a brain tumor is bothering her again, and I let myself get a little discouraged.
Last week I did too much trying to ride a bicycle, and my pain level has risen like crazy every night to where I can't sleep at night.
I just wanted to vent a little.  There's no question involved.  But its nice to just write it down.

I feel like controloing my pain is part of my recovery.  Because when my back hurts, I think about how good it feels when I'm high.  The last few days, I've been taking tylenol (for pain) ibuprofin (antiinflamitory) and using icyhot (it works really good!)  I aslo really like the thermacare back heatwraps. Another thing is, if you have constant back pain, have you considered getting the nerve blocker shots?  As soon as I'm sober, I'm going to talk to my dr about them.
How long have you been sober? Or are you tapering? or ct?

I've been tapering for about six weeks from the Duragesic Patch; 200 every other day for over seven years.
Now I'm down to 75 every other day, and instead of being easier it is getting a little harder.
I hope things get better for you.

I know it's harder with each taper. I'm down to 25mcg and a 12mcg patch. I go to the dr. Thursday and I'm sure she will cut me down to just 25mcg. I wish I had never heard the word fentanyl and never had a patch anywhere near me. Fentanyl is one of the strongest opiates. It's worth the fight to get off of them. I'm sure we will feel better. It's good to see you're still here and posting. Do you know when you will be making your next taper?? My dr. makes me stay three months between tapers. I am anxious about what will happen after I take the last 12 patch off. I know I am really looking forward to not having those things on me.
