anything is possible, but to be honest i highly doubt he will be able to do this without treatmeant. inpatient treatment would be the best possible thing for him right now. success rates of quitting crack after treatment is about 10-15%, which is low, but it is doable. so glad he wants help, that is a big step, but im telling you this as someone who lived that lifestyle for years, it won't be easy, it will be the toughest thing your son has to do, but now that he wants help, you can stand by him and please SERIOUSLY consider inpatient treatment, crack is one of, it not the single hardest drugs to quit. have faith and i know he can do this. just remember, he will not be successful without some help and support. wish you and your son the best of luck.

Thanks for the support.

No insurance. I can afford to pay a reasonable amount of $. Places that I have inquired about are 10 to 15,000 a month. A State run facility is 4,000 a month.

He says he can do it on his own, and wants to go to a psychiatrist to get help with his depression and have someone to talk with.

What I have read about Crack leads me to believe he needs a residential treatment program. But he doesn't want that.

Is it possible to get off Crack by oneself?

We live in central Florida.
