Klonopin Update 2

It's been 8 days since I reduced my Klonopin from 3 MG per day to 1.5 MG per day. Most of the physical withdrawal symptoms have subsided (my vision is still a little blurry and I still feel a bit feverish), but the psychological symptoms are still in full-swing: irritability, agorophobia, etc. I really want to cut one of my doses so that I'm down to 1 MG per day, but I'm not sure if it's safe/wise to do so yet...

Advice?

Really great job and great idea to get off of Klonopin I have been perscribed for many years for anxiety disorder.  I wanted to get off of it and even though my dr was against it she helped me taper.  We did it very very slowly I was taking 4 mg and went down .25 every two weeks.  I have been off it for quit sometime (although she gave me 20 emergency pills that I don't plan to take but keep just incase). Anyway the taper was so gentle that when it was time to quit I maybe only had a couple of days where it was hard to sleep. I now take melatonin to sleep, valerian root and kava kava for anxiety.  I hope this helps

sorry i cant help with your?  , not my doc. others on here can help, but not sure who is on due to the time. i know K is a benzo, and you have to be carefull tapering with them so wouldnt till ya get advice from someone with more experience. if ya dont get an answer tonight repost in the am when more people are on...

Great job!!  I would wait to do another drop. Benzo's like Klonopin have to be tapered very slowly. Its better to wait and be safe than sorry.. seizures and the other awful withdrawals symptoms are very scary so take care of yourself..
