I have a private theory about this. I personally feel that every challenging day in my new clean life is helping to "rewire" my mental circuits back to normal. No longer is there a chemical fix for my problems, so I am adapting, unfortunately, "trial by fire" at times it seems.
Some days don't go as well as others, and I "wind up with the short end of the stick."
But when I crawl into bed that night, I feel the day was an unqualified success, because I stayed clean one more day. And I know that my mind and body are healing, so tomorrow can't help but be better, maybe just a little.
But better nonetheless.
Hi well your going threw the ''Mind screw'' that most get after detoxing.. a lot depends on how much how often and how many years of use just know it is a process to get well the you seam to have a grasp of what it takes all of the things your doing will help for me im a church goer already tried a counselor but it wasent till I found the rooms of N/A that I started to turn my life around it takes work to get well you dident become a addict over night so give yourself a break as always I will always recamend N/a it was the single thing I was missing in my recovery give it a chance..............Gnarly.....................
Thank you so much for your comments. It really does help to know others have gone through this. I'm only on day 13. I became dependent due to injuries on paying bills. Never ever you just butt is on so long my job symptoms of intense.
My hubby, who has never been through list, thinks that my last day tapered off and took no pills a couple weeks ago now I should be just fine and a pump to do everything. Yesterday was really hard. I didn't sleep all night last night either. Is that part of it? Thank you so much for your kind words. God Bless
Good Morning & Welcome,
Congratulations on your clean time! Yes, Kratom is addictive (especially if you've had other opiate habits). Also, it is grown in countries where there are few or no regulations on pesticide, herbicide & fungicide use & is often adulterated with other substances.
Please, don't be disheartened by what you read on forum about length of time until you feel better! Everyone is different. How long have you been clean? I sympathize with your feeling that it threatens your 'sanity' but please know that you CAN absolutely push through this even though it might feel like you can't. It would be a shame to throw away what you've accomplished. What you're doing is possibly the most brave & life-affirming/loving thing that you'll ever do for yourself & your family. The insanity would be to continue to use because I promise you, things only get worse. You & yours deserve better! You're much stronger in body, mind & spirit then you realize right now. (Believe me, many of us felt the exact same way as you currently do). Is there a way that you can lean on family/friends to help you through some of this? Hold fast! You're doing great. :)
No Kratom. Keep going You're almost there. ;)) I am going to say day 19 and you will start feeling better. Keep walking and walk for an hour if you can. It will help.
No definitely don't go to Kratom. Yes it is addictive.
It is important that you nourish your body,
You have to force food. Try bland foods, toast, soups, crackers,
Rice, yougurt. Drink protein shakes.
Keep moving forward.
Congrats on your clean time.
Keep the faith,
You are doing awesome.
Keeping busy and moving around is a great thing.
Praying for you,
Debbie
Kratom is addictive and is not the answer. But that's just my two cents LOL. U gotta do what you think is right. Prayers sent your way.
