Last night i found an entire bottle of hydrocodone

Filled to the brim with percs. Sitting right next to it was a full bottle of hydromorphone. They were in my sisters purse. Shes in hospice right now for brain cancer and she asked me to get her credit card from her handbag at home and text her the numbers.

I sat there, STARING at the two bottles with the credit card in hand. I stared, contemplating, for honest to god, about 4 or 5 minutes. Not 1 person would know. I could of dosed up a little just to get a little relief. I could stop the restless legs and the migraines and runs. I could have that warm fuzzy feeling and had buckets of energy. I could eat whatever i wanted and afterwards not worry about upsetting my stomach. I could of taken them and gone over to my gf's house and rocked her world. But i knew that if i took them the past 5 days, waiting to start withdrawls (my symptoms are always delayed by about a week) would of been for absolutely nothing.

I'm just saying this cause i want you all to realize that even at your worst, you're all better than this. Its all in your mind. Go ahead and argue with yourself. YesnoyesnoYES!NO!. Just don't give up.

Well the purse is no longer where it was and because of that i'm not gonna go looking for it. I raelize weak moments will come but theres really nothing else i can do about it besides tough it out.

That is true. Its not right to ditch someone else's meds but they can be given to someone. Either way, you still rock for staying righteous:-)

And I should have CONGRATULATED you for your level of confidence it is great to hear.  Just sometimes that's not enough.  Okay I'll stop getting on you now - I'd just be remiss if I didn't say these things!

Okay and I don't mean this to sound harsh - but vulnerable weak moments can be waiting for you right around that next corner.  PLEASE give those meds to someone else to hold.  Temptation can be VERY tricky right about now.  :)
