Live chat room for detox

Does anyone know of a live chat room for people going through Detox.   I saw the NA chat rooms, but I'm not quite there yet. I know it has great value, but I would like to be able to actually speak my mind on what ive been using and helpful people in that stage.  

Day 1 of 70mg/day of Hydrocodone withdrawal here.

Day two is usually the hardest day. If you can make it thru this day it gets better. I hope I'm right I work at a detox center in Miami and usually the clients there feel better by their third day but they are taking medication so if your not you might not have the same feeling. Be strong you can do it. Stay focused on your goal one thing that might help is to write a letter to your addiction. Mention how you want to " kick its ***" then keep it on you for reffrance. Wishing you the best.

I am on day two of detox from painkillers and feeling very emotional, physically aweful and need some help. Don't want to go thru this anymore. I want to be done with this stuff. I just watched my grandfather die from complications due to long term painkiller use. I don't want my life to revolve around pills anymore. It makes me sick, ashamed. I don't want to spend all my time thinking about my life before addiction like that was the best my life will ever be. I want hope. I'm still gonna have the pain to live with after the addiction part is over but I still have pain with the medication so why not at least kick the meds and get rid of the monkey on my back. I'm scared. Can anyone out there help?

Does your name imply that you are from the Gulf coast? Not trying to be creepy - just friendly. I'm from the Gulf coast and visited the Beau many times. Those first few days are so hard and what makes it so hard is that a couple of little pills can stop it all in less than 15 minutes. The problem is of course that 4 hours later you will be right here again. You can and must do this. I had a a couple of PM friends when I was detoxing. It's a good idea. Praying for you today.

thanks guys.. This is day 2.  I tried the na chat rooms but they we well into there recovery.  I'm going pure hell.. but I know there's light at the end of the tunnel, just gotta make it to the other side.

I hear you. It was hard to sit in the NA meetings needing to talk about withdrawals and Not feeling able too. Shaking and feeling like your going to die cause it seems like all the SYMTOMS won't ever end. But they do stop and it does get easier. I used the phone list and was able to find several people talk me through the hardest parts of withdrawing. The lack of sleep, anxiety, Depersonalization was too hard to go through alone. It has been along hard journey and I am thankful for those NA phone lists. Through them I met a few who had dettoxed off similar drugs and they shared their experiene and what helped or just listened to me freak out on the phone. You can message or private message people on this site they are awesome. Good luck your not alone , many have been where you are and survived you can do this.

There are none that I know of. But feel free to pm me If I can help I will be glad to. Sometimes its just easier to Pm, for some of us to get thru this. Im sure anyone will help you.
