I might have missed this - do your doctors know that two of them are both writing scripts for pain meds, legit surgery or not? I don't understand why there's even an issue if you've been honest.

Oh man, leaann, you are NOT kidding.  Tramadol.  The worst.  Absolutely the WORST.  Reading your post brought back all kinds of memories, really really BAD memories.

Please - flush the tramadol and have your Dr. prescribe something non-narcotic and non-addicting.  Good luck to you!

Yes, yes, yes....DO THAT!  If you need something for pain, there are things that are much better FOR PAIN than Ultram.  800mg of Advil will help you more, for real!  I got to a point after a very short time that if I didn't take it, I was so sick I wanted to die.  I would have sold my soul for another pill just to take that sickness away.  I couldn't put my feet on the floor for lack of energy.  I flopped around on the bed like a fish out of water.  Was so anxious I couldn't sit still or even think straight.  I froze to death and would sweat at the same time.  I couldn't hold my arms still.  I was awake all night for literally weeks.  It took forever to get back to 3 hours of broken sleep a night.  My energy took months to return to where I could even take care of my then two year old and eight year old.  I was so depressed that I had to go on an antidepressant for the first time in my life.  I didn't take it for very long, but I still needed it for a while to get past the horrible depression.

And I'm just scratching the surface........it's a mean, bi*ch of a drug!

I agree 1000% with LeaAnn!! PLEASE dont take this drug!! I went back on Oxy's and Norco to kick the w/d's from this drug! Its not worth it!!

My hope is one day either ALL Dr's wil; be educated on this drug, OR they will just remove it from the market all together! As she already said, its not even a very good pain reliever!

Yeah, the Ultram still has some dumb doctors fooled.  A lot of them have wised up to it, because they have so many patients who have become addicted to it.  It slaps you up one side and down the other, because it's got an opiate effect and an anti depressant effect.  Oh, it's just awful.  Please don't take it! Please.........

Looks like you're just worrying yourself unnecessarily, really.  Just have the surgery, take the meds like you're supposed to and be done with it.  Are you an addict?  Is there a reason you have all this concern about being red flagged and what meds you'll be prescribed?  Sorry for the questions, but in order to help, I have to understand what's up, ya know? : )  Under normal circumstances, someone wouldn't even think to ask a question about this. For example, if my non addict friend were to have surgery in another state and she had been given meds before the surgery here where we live, it would never occur to her to ask these questions. That's the part that is confusing me.  You have posted several questions that are almost identical, and I'm just not understanding your concern??  And just to be informative, it helps us to help you if you stay with one post unless you have a different question.  That way we aren't answering you all over the place and it doesn't get too confusing on where to post.  So, let's just keep it here now, ok?  It's certainly fine to "post a question" again if you have ANOTHER question, but this is several times you have posted basically the same question, and I'm totally lost on why you're so worried! (I'm kinda blonde though!) LOL

No, you won't be flagged for that.  I'm not sure why you'd even worry about it?  You're having surgery, for heaven's sake.  Unless you've been in serious trouble with some pharmacy and then go back there again, you should be fine.

I had a love affair with Ultram for a long time.  It seriously almost killed me, dead!  I've detoxed from every addictive prescription there is on the planet, and it was by far and away the worst.  NO JOKE!  I would throw it out tonight......seriously, before you even go to bed.  Plus, it's not even a good pain killer.  There are way better pain meds that are far less addictive.  I would stay far far far away.  I could go on for an hour about it, but I won't bore you.  Just do yourself a favor and DON'T!

Good luck with your surgery.........
