Long-term side Effects of Oxycotin abuse

Have any studies been done to evaluate the LONG-TERM effects of OXY abuse. My mother took over 250 MG for 6-7 years and is now experiencing some medical problems (like extremely low red blood cell counts) which noone seems to be able to diagnose.

I know I used oxy for my back after surgeries for about 7 months. I know it's had an ill effect.  I actually had my testosterone checked and it was a bit low.  After I stopped, my levels came back up to normal. Also, Im more prone to bruising as well. I assume thats from low iron.

I am sure there have been but not that I know of. I am not too sure about the long term damage of oxy use. I know that long term opiate use can cause liver damage. Other then that, I can't say I am sure.
