Looking for help to quit Oxycodone

Hi, I am new to the forum, but have been reading it occasionally. I am very interested in quitting my roughly 80 mg a day habit. I have been mainly taking 15 mg oxycodones(bought from a coworker that got me started), and now I have a 2-20mg a day Oxycontin scrip from my dr, but i go through those quicker than the prescription. I am on the road of feeling the need to increase how many I take and feel the serious withdrawals when I go a day without them. I did take 8 days off from work to quit cold turkey, but my first day back to work I went right back to them. It sucked that I suffered for that time and blew my vacation time to get clean and just fell right back in. I could use some help. I am 43 and recently diagnosed with Cancer, so I have been using that as another excuse as to why I don't need to quit. I could really use some help. I think I can handle the cold turkey, but I don't know how to get my head in the right spot to avoid this trap again. Thanks for listening and I look forward to any suggestions... Randy
