HI Ali ..im sorry your feeling this way...I know the feeling well you just want it to be done and over with so you can move on with your life...I wish I could say it works that way but for most of us it dosent ...recovery takes time and pacents you will start to feel better with time but I have to agree with GaGuy that it takes recovery care to really move past this
there are some things that you can do....load up on the vitamins ...for me I found that drinking whey protein shakes helps a lot there loaded with vitamins and they also have a lot of amino acids in them along with the protein all of witch the brain needs to heal
its not that expensive you can get it at walmart for 12 bucks it come in a 2lb can
you mix it with milk the chocolate flavor is good..that and liquid B-complex helps with the energy thing a bit its 6 bucks there also none of these are quick cures but after using them I do believe they help....it worth a try...hang in there things will get better
good luck and God bless......Gnarly
it took me about 2 months to really feel pretty well...as far as sleeping...mood...anxiety...motivation...and depression.....on day 7 i felt so awesome and good that i made it a week and thought it would all be up hill from then but unfortunately it wasn t ...some days great others terrible...but as time passes it really gets wonderful...hang in there and remember to seek aftercare/support system....i m heading towards 2 years clean in july and still there are some days i just feel like CRap...i think it s just life...hope you get to feeling human soon...maria :)
I know how you feel. It WILL get better, just don't use no matter what.
This has been my experience: It's friday night and I just came home from an NA meeting. I go to my meetings every chance I get. Being with other addicts and alcoholics just like me has actually saved my life. Alone I'm my worst company. Recently, when I first was going through WDs, if I pretty much sat with the TV I found I would dwell on how I felt and what my present symptoms were. Of course I felt like crap, I was in full opiate WD. I took to the net, googled around, and found this site. I got real active with it immediately, because just coming off opiates I know I'm sometimes just a thread away from going out and using again. I'm powerless to stop using on my own. So, I started to focus on my recovery with others just like me so I wouldn't use again. This also helped take my mind off my WDs. As an addict I'm not responsible for my disease of addiction, but I AM responsible for my recovery.
I learned a while back that when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
Getting into aftercare and cleaning up the wreckage of your life will ultimately make the pain go away. When I worked my 4-9th steps it was like the world lifted from my shoulders. Get into aftercare soon.
Get that aftercare going ASAP. The situation is wearing you down real fast. sara
