I can tell you, I just went thru it all. I was on 20-30 Loratab 10/500 a day....If it was not for my wonderful fiance and my best friend, i'd probably be dead. I tried to quit ct, but I was too far gone. So i checked myself into a rehab center.....The best thing i could have ever done. They gave me medications to get me thru the first tough few days, I don't remember the names. Going thru the group sessions, it made me see I was not alone.
When i was discharged my doctors perscribed me Trazodone to help sleep, which i have completely stopped taking, and Methacarbonal for the severe back spasms, which worked wonders. Now I am taking natural vitamins, Melatonin which is a wonderful natural sleep vitamin, and L-Lysine, which helps with the amino acids your body stops producing on the pills. I have 16 weeks of Outpatient Treatment left, and If i can help just one person then it will all be worth it. I am getting my life back and getting back to being me again, something i have not been in so long. I am feeling like a new person.
I had read the forums before I went in, and now i can say I am a survivor. You can make it thru this, it is a sickness, But you can and will get your life back.
very do-able....great that you want to....lots of help here as even a minimal habit can be hard to break and you may need support...keep posting
I am almost 9 days clean off of Vicodin 10mg 10 times a day and I feel great. I went CT and it was hard definately not a walk in the park but I made it. You will feel as though you have a really bad flu, ache, cold sweats chills your bones will ache take lots and lots of hot baths and showers, RLS (restless leg syndrome) is pretty bad aswell eating bananas (potassium) and read the Thomas Recipe good stuff! You will have the runs, Immodium works really well. You can do it Give your self a good 5-6 days and you'll start to see a difference and coming on here is the best thing you could have done.
As an individual with a lot of experience i do not want to trivialize your experiences at all - but realistically you are not in as bad a shape as many that come here. Its not uncommon for someone to be doing 20-30 10mg hydros per day - or worse yet several hundred mg oxy's -
Sickcookie must not be too sick - you have good advice from her. Chec k the Thomas Recipe and use the resources...use this forum.....read this forum.....there are a lot of you here - and the people here will help

I have been taking lortab for about a year. I take it for back pain. I am up to about 4 to 5 pills a day. I've just gotten facet injections, which have worked. So now I'm trying to stop the pills. I had no idea how bad I would feel and I want to keep taking them just to feel normal. My wife suggested I use this site before I started popping pills. So here I am.
The symptoms are very much like a bad flu. Your nose will run, achey all over. etc The worst part can be the restless legs and not being able to sleep.
How much and how long were you using ?
PS you have come to the right place . This forum will help you so much. Keep reading and posting.
