Thank you for the ideas...I am headed to Walmart now! :)
Activon is a good pain reliever. It looks like a deodorant stick. You rub it on the area of pain. My uncle who had cancer found that it was the only thing that took his back pain away. It has some sort of lidocaine, novocaine, or zylocaine properties in it that numbs the area of pain.I think you would benefit from it. You can pick it up from Walmart. If not, ask your doc For some Zylocaine Jelly. This is prescription strength and numbs the area really good, without making you feel high.Hope this helps.
icing helps...ibuprophen is a better choice than tylenol as tylenol is not an anti-inflammatory....ibuprophen is..800 mg to start and see how it goes...stretching gently, icing alternating with heat and a good massage would help...muscle relaxers will often help as well....have u ever tried chiropractic?
I agree with 10356 on using Motrin or any ibuprofen, up to 800 miligrrams every four hours. It is an anti-inflammatory and should work better than Tylenol.
Hi I understand the lower back pain.. L5 and L4 are compressed on mine during wd it felt like a cement block was leaning on my spine.. It let up after a few day's.. I found Motrin to help.. Wishing you well.. lesa
