Lyrica Withdrawal

I am taking lyrica 150mg OD for the last 1.5yrs due to back pain.
Previously the pain was severe & it wasn't improving. Now after undergoing
physiotherapy my pain has reduced to 60%. I am feeling better now after
continuing back exercises advised by my physiotherapist. I dnt want to
continue lyrica any more as I have gained some weight and also the
so called dizziness hampering my daily life. I stopped it for 2 days but
didn't sleep well. Plz suggest me how will I withdraw this medicine...

Getting off Lyrica may cause a number of discontinuation side effects. Quitting Lyrica suddenly can result in withdrawal symptoms including insomnia, headache, nausea, diarrhea and flu-like symptoms.

I have read from other people who tried to get off this medicine that you need to have the dr that prescribed it to taper you off the drug.

Cold turkey will result in unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.  Please tell your doctor that you want off the drug and want him to provide a taper schedule for you.

That will help you so much more than stopping cold turkey!
