Thank you so much for your encouraging words, I actually read somewhere think of withdrawal as labour pain and you are givin birth to a new you, which is what you said above, I always liked that saying tho! I am now past 72 hours and i do feel some relief. I am hoping for sleep tonight. I am still tricking along!

yaaay!  The 72 hour mark is usually when I'd get a little relief!  The mental part will still be tough.  That's when you'll need some support.  Some of the physical stuff feels better after day 3 though.  It certainly will not get ANY worse.  Everyone is different, but with opiate detox 48-72 hours is the peak, and it always gets better slowly thereafter!

You got this!  Hang on!  Tomorrow will be better : )

NOW!

Hey girl you are doing awesome!  I know it doesn't feel like it right now but you are on the healing path and it will get brighter from here on out!  It's all about your attitude and perspective.  If you see detox as a surrender and the first step to reclaiming your life and excavating your most authentic self- it can actually be a beautiful experience.  I know, I know, sounds insane- but I actually wouldn't change one moment of my detox.  I learned a lot about myself and what I was made of.  I just watched my best friend give birth on the fourth, and when she was in active labour and writhing on the bed I was like "Oh I know how that feels!!".  I haven't had children yet, but I've read women compare detox and childbirth on this forum more than once.  At the end of labour, you get a beautiful new baby and a forever changed life.  At the end of detox you also get a brand new life, and a brand new YOU!  You are worth it!!!

Proud of you...

Thank you for the encouragement! I am sure my dog will bark at me too since he barks at everything else!!

Hem- I started my countdown the second after I took my last pill, i took my last pill on Tuesday at 7:30pm so I am just about to the end of day 3. I am having waves of feeling better which is making this all worth it. I won't count my chickens before they hatch tho! I will see how I feel in the morning. :)

Not sure about the dancing but when I sing my cat looks in my mouth.  Think she's looking for the dying cat in there.
Im so glad youve made it so far.  I really feel like I can do this just from all the posts everyone has made.
Questions.. At what point do you start your countdown?  You say you are 3 hours from the end of day 3,  What did you count as your beginning?

When i dance my dogs bark at me.  Maybe i should listen to them!!  lol

You are doing great so keep moving forward.  You will be thru the wd's before you know it.  Get up and move around as much as you can.  Sitting in the sun for a bit can make you feel better too.  You stay strong~~

You're comment made me laugh about the dog dancing! I will have to see if my dog can dance too when I do dance! I don't think he will like it too much, but I will give it a try! lol! Thank you for your encouragement! I am 2 hours away from the end of day 3! I got out a little today, not much but I do plan on getting out a little more tomorrow. Thanks again, I appreciate it!! :)

Listen sweetie, today is day 15 for me, it was the magic day when most of the mental crap ended. ahhh, feels so good! Yesterday I couldn't get off the couch, was too scared of my own shadow, crying, etc. and today something broke, i am feeling like I busted out of hell, it feels so good,

I had ot go out, had no choice or I never would have, forced it like crazy, hated the idea, and as soon as I got out (was the passenger in the car, so I coudl see all the nature) I felt so good, and when I got home, I actually did a jig around the living room. I put on the beatles, here comes the sun, and I danced, and foudn out my dog can dance too, but that is another story.

anyway, soon you will be dancing too sweetie, not much longer.
hugs,
Lily

Yup I also went back to work on day 6. On day 5 I felt no energy and was kind of scared but day 6 was my best day and I felt a lot better...not 100 percent but compared to a few days prior tons. I am just a normal mom dealing with this day to day!

I'm not feeling great...but i'm making it. I think I really psyched myself out about it so it's not as bad as I thought. Then again..I've heard the worst is yet to come. So far I'm just having crazy chills and I have absolutely no energy. I feel like I'm in some kind of fog and just not very aware. But the longer I make it without a pill..the less I want to run and get one. There's no way I'm starting over and going through this again!! Keep up the good work you're almost there!

Thanks for the encouragement! You're right about it beats day 1 cause I am closer to getting through it but I have to say day 1 was a lot easier for me! I can't and won't turn back now, to suffer through all of this I have no desire to do it again! Thanks again!

Kyle- I did not get a chance to watch My Little Pony but now if I see it on I will check it out for you! lol!
