My doctor has had me on ativan and zoloft

My doctor has had me on .5 ativan 3 times a day an 100 mg zoloft for over 2 years, I am having short term memory loss, and pain in my side, I get dizzy and stagger if I'm late taking a pill in the afternoon. The ativan, cause I only take zoloft once a day , in the morning. I am scared and don't know how to stop this.

If I were to experiment to see if the medications were involved I would taper off the ativan. You talk with your doctor. Ask him about increasing the Zoloft and tapering off the Ativan. The Ativan can give you withdrawal and strange symptoms. Missing one dose does cause changes that you can feel.

Good Luck. Please try not to be scared! Really there is nothing to fear here. You can try to get answers and you will find support on this site. You can taper off the Ativan, many people here have done it. So keep posting and let us know what is happening.

If you do want to taper off the Ativan the doctor should be able to set up a schedule for you.  Also be sure you go to your regular doctor to rule out other physical problems that are causing your symptoms.

this is something that only your doctor is qualified to answer...benozs are not to be c/ted and a taper is a must. I know its hard to taper for most addicts, because a taper maens controlling your addiction and addiction means being out of controll therefore making a taper hard for most. Maybe your doctor could suggest something that will work for you. We are all here for you and will continue to be.
