That is so good for you just to be there for her. sometimes that is all that someone needs and shopping is def. the best therapy! I've been doing it for the past month since I broke up my fiance because of his heroin addiction. I know from my experience sometimes I wanted to open up to my friends but then got nervous about things and if I was wrong how would I explain it etc.(sure enough I was right), I'm sure she will come to you in her own time and you def. don't want to scare her off! just knowing she has you is probably exactly what she needs!~
Your a day late. I posted my "question" yesterday if you want to go back and read it.
Thank you,
Jules

downey's original post...
this was just a followup to let us know what happened.
thanks downey
Thanks everyone for your imput. I got the feeling today she was uneasy that she confided in me yesterday and I get the feeling she doesn't want to tell her family about this. I think I put her at ease today by dropping the subject and I think she knows I'm there if she wants to reopen the subject.
I have been so self-absorbed in my own problems I never saw the stress and changes in her since her husband came home. I think a day at the mall will help us both. I need to break in a new credit card anyway :)

Well at least she knows you are there for her if she needs to confide in you or needs support. I hope that you two have a blast shopping!
