Thank you so much for your responses. I am going to share more of my story soon but for now I know I need to focus on putting things into place or else I may lose my drive!! I am just beginning to realize that I was a dry addict during my clean periods. I literally have not progressed at all in these past 3-4 years, despite looking like I did. I have completed a bachelors degree in this time, but I honestly don't think it will do me any good if I don't get the rest of my life together, particularly my sobriety! I can't help but just think I am a hopeless case, despite so many of the other people successfully tackling their addiction. I think I am different for some reason... a harder case I guess. Does that even make any sense!? LOL!
Welcome back. Recovery is a marathon not a sprint. It requires work each and every day to stay and sober. Complancy sets in and it is easy to fall back into the same old habits.
Do something different your life depends on it.
Congrats for taking the next step in your recovery!
