It says right on my paperwork from the detox I was in, we have NO nalexone in our clinic. Which confused me. I asked about it and they told me something about people melting down the sub and injecting it to get high.
the difference is suboxone has an opiate blocker..........nothing to do with needles...........
shooting Subutex are you kidding?
I just got off 13 months on Sub after 5 years of hydro dependency and it was a struggle getting away from Sub. I didn't do much research about Sub until I was already taking it for a couple months. I just posted my personal story of getting free of it in a post titled "I got off Sub, and so can you" yesterday, and one of the responses from FLaddict provided information about how it should be used. I don't know that everything she says is true but it seems to make sense and she claims to have done a lot of research, so I tend to believe what she says about using it. I would urge you to read it and ask your doctor about it before starting to take Sub for very long.
I believe the naloxone is put there so you cant inject it to get high. Something like that. Ive read so many things on it and its confusing but its something like that. Nothing wrong with subutex if youre not into needles. If Im correct. But there is a slight difference.
Sorry to hear that tou are sick. I remember back in the day when my EX, would say john im sick, I couldnt identify.now at 48yrs with a percocet/oxy addiction i now exactly what that means.this illness is both physical/psychological. So you mentioned Subutex. In Canada we dont have that in oral form/ only in liquid. We are RX. methadone, meth is good in the short term for withdrawl i.e taper. ONE word of causion. Its easy to shift drug of choice. Tell the doc.AS docs in Canada will keep you on for life.AS we have social medicine and its FREE get back to me johnnykelly cheers
Subutex (buprenorphine hydrochloride) and Suboxone tablets (buprenorphine hydrochloride and naloxone hydrochloride) is approved for the treatment of opiate dependence. Subutex and Suboxone treat opiate addiction by preventing symptoms of withdrawal from heroin and other opiates.
what is wrong with subutex? subutex and suboxone are almost the same and are both both the exact same reason...........
When I went into inpatient detox on a five day plan they gave me subutex........
I know its hard to see a son go fight for his country but I'll bet he is very proud to be there........
Instead of drugs is it possible for you to see a counselor to work out your issues with it instead of doing narcotics.......
There is no draft so I would assume that your son wanted to go and I'm sure you tried to stop him but he sounds like he wants to be his own man and fighting for your country as a man is something special.......I also enlisted in the Vietnam war and my mom was really upset with me but she knew she had to let me go.......
As far as the Subutex only certain physicans can perscribe it you will have to do some research.....
Also it takes great disapline to do the program right with subutex do you have some support to help you and possibly distribute the pills to you?
if you are serious about not using anymore and are really truly ready to quite, suboxone is a great way to go because it prevents withdrawals. you will have to see a certified dr. who can prescribe them to you .. go to one of these sites and plug in your zip code, it will find a dr in your area ... not all dr's can prescribe them, only certified drs. Anyways, if you decide to go this route, that is great .. you can do a rapid detox with them goin anywhere from 10-30 days depending on how much u use and for how long and what you and the dr thinks is best for your situation ... i'm using it for vicodin and oxy addiction .. been using them for almost 10 yrs. same as you up to 15 vikes a day then maybe 3 80mg oxys aday too .. started to really catch up as far as money went ... if i didn't have a script i bought them thru people i knwe .. an 80mg oxy cost me 20.00 .. f*ck that~
Call around for pricing for the suboxone .. normally in most cases is not covered by ins. if you have rx covg, thats great since they are very costly. my friend pays 250.00 amonth for these .. i pay 10.00 w/rx covg. Anyways, its the initial visit that they can get you on .. i've seen where some drs are charging $500 for a visit .. i paid $275, that covered first 3 visits .. every month after its $60 plus $10 for drug test and the rx ... You HAVE to be in w/drawals to start suboxonoe .. they will tell you not to take anything anywhere from 15-24 hrs .. or it will not work and you'll get really sick and have even worse withdrawals ..
If you have any more ?'s, please ask .. everyone here is here for the same reason adn we are all in diff stages of getting off of them or in diff stages of recovery .. Suboxone is not the ONLY way to get off either, keep that in mind....good luck ... pls keep in touch! peace!
Doctors have to RX subutex and you can google it. It takes a special certification to write for that drug.
