I also have some WEIRD dreams. Some are scary/nitemare dreams but most are just very odd. I have started to write what I remember about my dreams down when I first wake up and I look them up when I have time.Just puts my mind at ease.I hope you get some releif from the and get some good refreashing sleep soon.

Good luck

Ok, wasn't sure.  Hard to tell!  I checked out the site and it was very helpful, kind of scary when you think about what your dreams really mean, and what you need to deal with conciously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think toxic was trying to help, not sarcastic. it could really mean a loss of your drugs if they have been a part of you for awhile. for me coke was my best friend and when i quit, it was a great loss, but a loss for the better. she meant no harm by her comment. did you check out this site?

Um, I don't think I'm mourning the loss of drugs.  Im not sure if that was a sarcastic remark or suppose to be helpful.

i just found this on that website. this is what it said it means, not that it's true, but i always check out my meanings. i copied and pasted this.

To dream that you are dismembered, suggests that some situation or circumstance is falling apart in your waking life. You are feeling disempowered and experiencing some great and significant loss.

this is very common. i don't think i have met anyone that has NOT had nightmares or dreams about drug use. frequent and realistic dreams that are nightly are usually a result of poor sleep. are you sleeping okay? it sounds like you are needing that deep REM sleep which during recovery is sometimes hard to acheive. are you getting enough activity to make you tired? if not, you may need to try to do that.

Thanks for the comments..........No scary movies, try to watch very HAPPY shows.  Not sure why I dreampt that I cut my fingers and feet off last night. Recently had a dream that I watched a man be cut in half.  I partied a lot in my 20's took drugs recreationally and these situations usually take place in a club setting along with taking drugs.  I haven't taken recreational drugs in 8 years, not sure why I have nighmares about passed drug use from such a long time ago.

This is a very common part of recovery...especially in the early months....some of them can get pretty freaky...I remember alot of my dreams...i have a GREAT sense of adventure and creativity, even in my dreams...WHEW!!  Usually glad to wake up in my own bed...and realize I was dreaming !!!

Yes nightmares and some just out right disturbing dreams.  I dreamed the other night that I found a house in the ground below my house and Columbian drug lords were plotting my demise down there!

although my DOC was coke, i had nightmares every night for almost a month, weird ones too waking me up sweating and scared. i had dreams of me using and lots of dreams about looking at my tombstone, those were the ones that got me. nightmares duing this time are very normal and common, but that dosent' make them fun. they will diminish in time. i try to pay attention to the meanings, there is a website that gives you meaning for dreams although i don't know if it's accurate, but fun to look at.
