so proud of you luv! getting up at 5am to work out is amazing!! thanks for the info ladies! you are all awesome!!
Girl...working out would definitely help you. I've been doing it every day for about 3 months now and I feel awesome. I'm also tired after working all day and could never workout afterwards, so I get up at 5am and I'm at the gym by 5:30am and workout for an hour. It starts my day off great. On the days that I don't go for some reason, I'm sluggish the whole day. Of course, you have to mix a healthy diet in there too. That part I'm still working on....lol.
Give it a try. If I can do it....trust me...anyone can!!
Ya Laurel I got the 6 week makeover and living lean by Michael Thurmond..I got it Years Ago..It is just full of Hot Information about diabetes, high blood pressure, all of it..His book and videos are so good..Lots of information about the way we eat and the insulin on & on..Thanks I will look up your info too...
Alright Girls you Rock!!!!!
haha!! thanks Chris!...i need that mile! lol you are the best! hope you are having a great day as well!!
I'm
So Proud to call u my friend Lisa!! My little sweet tooth!!! Praying u ate having a good day today. I'm gonna run an extra mile just for u today. Hope it makes u feel better;) love ya!!!!! Chris
thanks Laurel! yes i def need to eat better....and i used to watch Jamie Oliver's show...it was good! I do drink a whey protein shake every day (thanks to Gnarly). And will need to buy more healthy foods....it's hard for me to eat during the day except for lunch but i will try and sneak a fruit or yogurt..lol
sorry, three of the meals should be just small portions if you make six meals a day, i usually make five !!! :)
VICourageous... yes, you hit the nail on what i tried to say.. this is exactly the changes a healthy diet can make: wonders :). I have really experienced the same !! Whenever i can i always advice the same here cause it is so good. I feel more energy and a better frame of mind . Making more exercise is hard when we are lacking of energy, i know.. so i told Toothfairie to start with the diet because it is easier this way, first, change your diet and step by step by step, then exercise would be easier and so .
Eating six meals also keeps away hunger&food cravings and controls insulin levels thus you are feeling better along the day ( two of these meals are small portions like a piece of fruit, a whey protein shake, a juice, a yogourt,... is enough). Gnarly always advices the whey protein shakes and a diet rich on protein is good for us to repair a lot of damage we have made to our body... vegs, lean protein, complex carbs, fruit... whatever is good :)
there is a very famous chef in UK named Jamie Oliver... thanks to him and his efforts, all the junk food and bad stuff was taken away from the packed lunchs that children brought to eat daily to the british schools. They realised that after eating packs of chips, processed chocolates bars, junk food and so, the children were dizzy and sleepy and have no concentration during the lessons.... go figure !
thanks everyone for all the responses here! wow makes me feel so good, this site is awesome!! on to bigger and better things!
No i don't work out...but i NEED to...i think that's part of my problem..lol i work alot so i'm too tired and lazy to do anything after i get home...but work will slow down a little soon and i will get on it then.

Do you work out? That's the only thing that gives me enery.
Dianne :))

thanks Julie! yes i need to get some Vit D....some sun!! lol and i sure need to exercise more than just work....i plan to do that on vacation and after i get home too....you guys are awesome here with all the posts! i kind of feel guilty posting about no motivation when so many others are still detoxing and going thru h*ll right now....but just thought i'd get some ideas if anyone else was having this same problem at this particular time with being clean.
thanks again girl!
that's a good idea Ron....i do volunteer at the Salvation Army soup kitchen...but haven't in about a year...so i need to get back to that...volunteering does make you feel better and to help people...pay it forward!
Hi Girl..Hey two things stick out here..I used to eat really well..Like lean protein with every meal and eat small every 3 hour to keep the metabolism up..I did the berry's with the protein in am..The rest was the protein and veg and complex carbs.Just like Laurel453 said..I did notice when I ate like this I had very good energy and keep the weight where I wanted it..I also backed off on the sodium..Like almost no sodium..I will tell you it made a big different in my Life..Now I just need to do this again..You know lazy Mode..Ekkkkk
Also FourJays turned me on to the extra D-3 thing because of the snow country I live in..Well it did make a huge different in my mood..so know I am still pushing myself until It all comes back in a natural way not a synthetic way..Oh My....lol
Hi Lisa - I can relate to the motivation thing and I'm sorry you are having a rough time with it right now. It is great all the responses and good advice you have gotten here! We are about the same on clean time (I'm right behind ya :)), and have had the same issues off and on. For me, exercise does help a lot (even though I still have to drag my butt down to do it sometimes); but always feel better when I do. One other thing.....about 3 months ago I had some general blood work done and my vitamin D came back "severely deficient" - and I was already taking 5,000 IU daily! My doctor put me on an rx dose; it's one pill once a week. I was surprised to find out that major symptoms of this deficiency include lack of energy, motivation, etc. It is hard to say for sure what exactly is doing what (for me) these last few weeks or so, i.e., is it the extra vit. D, is it exercise, eating better, etc,., but it seems something is helping a bit.......just a thought! Girl you work so hard, you deserve to enjoy what time you do get to yourself - hope you feel better soon - and congrats on over 5 months now :))
Hi TF , OK here is an idea .
Go to the 99c store and buy Toothbrushs and tooth paste Things the homeless need and can use. Find the nearest homeless shelter , give then what you have and ask what they need . You just do what you can when you can . Doing something good for others may make you feel good yourself . ... Ron
Thanks Ron. Thank you for all you have helped me with! I would love to get a dog but I'm gone from home too much so it wouldn't be fair to the poor dog. Maybe some day!! Love dogs :)
Thanks laurel!! I really need to eat better and exercise. I try but junk food calls my name. Haha.
Thanks Teresa!! Yes keep in touch. Will be praying for you and family!!
Thanks gnarly!! I do go to meetings. Just 1 a week tho usually. All I Can get to for now. Sometimes 2. But I have I force myself there sometimes.
If you possibly can (have a PPO) choose an endocrinologist to have your thyroid evaluated. They are the specialist for glandular problems.
I have had hypothyroidism and consulted a new endocrinologist in December. I was experiencing major hairloss and fatigue. They gave me a thorough workup (all the lab tests for thyroid). Turns out I have an autoimmune disorder where my immune system is actually attacking and destroying my thyroid gland, thereby causing it to be low. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. PTO is one of the thyroid blood tests I was given that discovered that issue. P.S. I did not gain any weight even with low thyroid. You don't have to have ALL the symptoms.
Yes, it sounds like it may be well worth it to have your thyroid thoroughly evaluated!
Best of luck!
