I'm sorry to hear about your pain... Well I have to say it wasn't easy, but I want my life back/social, shopping, vaca's ect..Also I have a 3 yr old and by me doing this is sooooooo freaking selfish of me.. I have tried cold turkey and umm no not for me I can't handle the w/d's it's tough and I had brought myself down to 40 mg's from 120..Are you thinking about seeking a Dr.? Because if so it's a great idea I was only lucky enough to get sub. from a friend and to have all these wonderful people in here educate me on sub.
I have lower back problems in which my wife has to shower and dress me, I do the physical therapy daily, I have tried cold turkey but was not strong enough. I did ask someone in the medical field and was asked "Would you call a diabetic an addict because he/she uses insulin?" and my first thought was "Does this diabetic take oxycontin and percocet?" I have tried and failed to go at it cold turkey, I did have a different post with less detail but I was just seeing if it would get an answer, oh by the way I have been popping and snorting about 200 mg of Oxy and 30 mg of Percs a day. I would like to quit but life without is just to hard any suggestions?
Thanks for you're concern...
I have actually gotten off oc's B4, with sub. but had a relapse thinking I'd be ok yeaaah right I was WRONGE...I do know how to take it and I know I shouldn't self medicate, but it was either that or I continue to spend my money on sniffing oc's I actually tradede my last 80 for 8 sub. I took 5mg's yesterday and just took 2mg's and feel fab. I don't think ill need anymore today and I know not to take them any more than 5 days.
I'm actually getting info from someone right now tho about a dr. in my area........
I posted to Noname22. I guess you should write again and post it to her as well. Sorry for the confusion.
I hope you read this. I saw a post earlier from you, but I can't find it. You wer saying that you got Suboxone off the street?
First off, you should NEVER take Suboxone off the street. It is a very powerful and dangerous drug. It should only be administered by a authorized Sub doc.
Do you know how to take it? What doses? Do you know how it works? Do you know the side effects? Do you know it is addcting?
I am so very worried about you.
I found my Sub doc thru:
www.naabt.org
They will find you a doc in your area and he will contact you personally, or you can just pick one. It used to be that Sub docs could only 30 patients at a time. Recently, they passed a law where they can now take 100 at a time. So, there are more openings for patients.
I am not saying that Sub is for you. But, if you choose that road, please find a doctor to do the program right.
I will pray for you. Pls keep posting and let us know what you decide.
Take care of yourself, Bonnie
