Nurofen Plus - Vomitting

My Husband consumes a lot of Nurofen plus (supposedly for back pain) he has done for the past 5 years.  The last few weeks more so - he has done for a while, he will vomitt. He use to onne in a blue moon, but recently it is more frequent.  He can have a few beers and then vomitt, consume his dinner and then vomitt.  He doesnt feel ill, he gets that watery sensation in his mouth just before you vomitt and then off he goes.  Im convinced he has stomach ulcers?? Can you test these via blood tests - i sent him to the drs a few months ago and his bloods came back fine.  I am getting very concerned and he thinks i am over reacting. Does anyone have sugestions?

Ibuprofen damages the kidneys more than the liver.  But it does affect both of them.  That amount of ibuprofen over a period of time can certainly wreak havock on his stomach.  And mixing w/beer isn't wise.  If he isn't having pain w/the ulcers (assuming that's what it is), he'll need an endoscopy.  A camera is inserted into the mouth and down through the stomach to see what's going on.  If there are ulcers, he can have them cauterized then too.  I wouldn't mess around w/this.  does he have any blood in the vomit?  If so, get him to the dr asap!

opiates will make your spew, but i dont think the codeine even in high doses makes you sick, iv had 240mg of codeine before and it just makes you feel real high for a couple of hours, ulcers would be  causing him pain,so im not so sure if its ulcers.HOw many is he taking at one time? the LD50 of ibuprofen is about 600mg/kg although he may just have ****** his liver if hes been on em that long, hard to tell, or theres the high possibliitly that hes taking something alot stronger as well, like morphene or oxy-codone etc that will make you spew, and give you a rush, its hard to say but i would think his ulcers would be causing great discompfort if he had some, id be looking at his liver if hes not taking anything else.
