Hey girlie!! You're doing great. I'm so proud of you. Keep busy. Going outside definitely helps me alot. And I started reading a couple of days ago. I screwed up this morning so back to the drawing board for me tomorrow. But I know I can do this. It wasn't even as great as what I thought it would be. I felt more guilt and shame than anything so I couldn't even enjoy it. Now, I can just think to myself from now on that I don't even need a pill because it didn't make me feel like I wanted it too. Just made me feel worse about it. So hopefully that will give me the courage next time I'm craving one. My prayers are with ya sweetie and take care Luvs ya, Lil.
I am on day 5 c/t hyro/oxy as well. I have about 70 percent of my old motivation back mainly because I have forced myself to do things! Pick up the house, go out and get errands done, take showers and put on makeup and clothes, and going to class (college) has helped tremendously. Just start with one thing but I bet you'll want to do more. It kind of snowballs that way!
hi there, good work! i'm familiar w/where you are at and what helps me is the simplest of things. i'm talking really simple and not all that glamorous, or fast-acting:
Although it's often hard, as soon as i wake up i make my bed. then i take a shower and get dressed right away. then i eat something. then i do the dishes, or straighten up. by this time, i always feel completely and totally different than i ever feel when i don't. then as things arise, you put one foot in front of the other and before long you're at the end of the day, you did use, and you feel good about all these little things you did. the next day you might find you are motivated to do a bit more. take it easy, though; don't over-do it. oh one more thing--make a point of getting out of the house daily.
hope this helps; best of luck.
