Suboxone.. There is hope..

I was here about 1 1/2 years ago terrified that my husband who was addicted to pain meds for 30years wasnt going to make it.... Well he took suboxone for a little over a  year... I wasnt thrilled with this new drug as he always seemed high to me.. coming off suboxone wasnt easy either but he did it.. drug free for 6 months.. so dont give up hope... follow the program and make sure that you tapper to come off this drug... good luck .. I am here if there is anyone wanting to know anything else about his addiction... luvs to you all  . ♥☮♥

That is great to hear. I am somewhere near the beginning of that process and I took pain meds for thirty years also. It seems like there is a lot of variability with suboxone withdrawal and I would be curious to know how he got off it ( like what kind of taper and time frame) and how the intensity and length of the withdrawal compared to other opiates?

I am happy to hear he is doing well now. I remember you from before and how you were trying to help him. It sounds like he is doing great and congrats on his 6 months. It's always great to hear a success story:)
