Yes what trout said! The Percocet's are stronger then the hydro's!
depends on what the condition is that requires the meds. If someone fell and bumped their head they may give them a 5mg vicoden. If they split their head open 4 inches and had to staple it shut they would probably prescribe something a little stronger such as a 10mg percocet and a closer time interval.
So with that being said each case is different. The less severe the injury or pain, the lower the dosage that will be prescribed. Make sense? Also, 5mg oxycodone is stronger than a 5mg hydrocodone (vicoden). There's a lot of variables.

Not really asking from an addiction standpoint. I talk to a lot of elderly people that are on one thing or another for arthritis, etc. They all just take as recommended. Was just wondering how strong each thing is. Are they all like 5, 7.5 or 10 or does one particular one just start out at 10?
Yeah, it's pretty much the opiate count. The /500 is the tylenol and is supposed to help kick in the opiate but I've found that the 2nd number is really irrelevant for someone who has been using for awhile. I take 10mg's of oxycodone 3x a day. There is no tylenol in them.... just the opiate and some other minor additives. For me there is no differnce between a 10mg oxycodone or a 10/500mg percocet even though they are both oxycodone.
So yeah.... a 5/500mg vicoden is probably down on the list where an 80mg oxycodone is at the top. It also depends on how many are prescribed at whatever time interval because most addicts do not stick to their presctiption such as myself.

If you are addicted they are all about the same. Ty3 is 3 mg codine oxy 80 is timed release 80mg. Addicts are addicts no matter what the strength.
Like the wineo on the street, is he less a alcoholic because he doesnt drink black velvet?
