day 14 off dilaudid

My hands and insides are still shaking really bad.....when will all this stop??????

No there is nothing that would make me shake .  I am on a lot of heart meds, diabetes meds, cymbalta to help the pain from neuropathy caused by diabetes ( that also is a soft tranquilizer)  Oh you know what I use a nebulizer several times a day with albuterol...that could do it...also my inhalers for asthma, and empasema. ...but if I stop any of the above I really could die.  I also take a tamazapam for sleep, and he gave me trazadone to help the withdrawl, and sleep....So far the melatonin is doing that when added to the rest....so I guess the sleeping stuff is still something I may have withdrawls from...but I have not stopped them....gee what would I be like if I stopped everything I wonder.    Jerri

Congrats on day 14!!!   You have a lot to be proud of.  It's hard to say when your particular symptoms will go away, it seems that we are all different, some of my syptoms lasted a few days, other a few weeks.  The most important thing is they ALL GO AWAY!!
Don't give in to the idea that this is so bad that you should just take a pill....
Your body has had these drugs in it for a while and has adapted to life with them.  It's going to take some time for it to adapt to life without them but when it does (you do) you'll be SO MUCH HAPPIER.
Stay strong, keep posting.  You're not alone, we've all been there or are right there with you.  You CAN do this!

is it possible any of the other meds are making you shake?

are you sure it's the w/d from the dilaudid? if you're sure - again - your body is just still getting rid of it.  it really can't last much longer...

are you doing this under dr's supervision?  if so - would it be worth calling him/her?

I have taken pain pills for about 20 years, they kept giving me stronger and stronger when I wore them out.  It has been dilaudid for about 2 years.  Some days 4 mgs some daus 20+ mg...now I have worn those out....I am sick to death of pills I am in poor health so I take 16 or 18 different meds every day......I am shaking so bad!!Jerri

jerri, i don't know how much you were on, but i have to believe this will stop very, very soon!!  just hang in there, it CAN'T last much longer!!!

remind yourslef this feeling will pass. and soon..... just get through the moments...
