Oxycodone/hydrocodone withdraw n experiance

I'm a 23 year old male and my addiction to opiates like oxycodon n hydros started about a year ago first recreationally with friends, as these painkillers get u "high" and Are Strong and Addictive. I started to notice I needed to take the pills to feel Normal after about a month . After many attempts to quit throughout this past year. I have convinced myself that I don't Need pills to function; as only YOu can make Yourself quit if u feel addicted. The first week is hard but it's jus an illusion as the opiate tricks ur mind n produces extra endorphins which make u feel happy or forget about the pain. But every day after u quite u will begin to fell a little better n better till normal. I'm taking vitamins to help like zinc, b12, fish oil, eating healthy and exercise. I'm on day 7 n the depression n fatigue r fading! Keep hope for those struggling n GOD BLESS :-)

My best advice from my experience would be to jus keep telling urself the sickness, depression, dependence, etc. Will fade wit time u jus gotta be strong! N really put it in ur mind u need to quit 4 urself . N crying is good 4 u :) God Bless!

Thanks alot for the words of wisdom. N yea I have definitely cut my druggie friends from my life, not doing that till now led to some of my setbacks over the past year. N getting my happiness back is why Im quitting; the drugs were taking over. Still dealin wit a lil fatigue n depression but I can feel that natural happiness coming bak every day sober. •Matt

did you get rid of all your druggie friends? i found that was hard yet easy at the same time. part of staying clean is to surround yourself with support and clean friends. i used drugs 8 years and the hardest part was changing friends. after i did that and run into one of much druggie friends that was high at the time i was so thankful to have gotten free of the drugs. how about you? i know how hard it is to stop. believe you me. im so proud of you. your so young and i want you to have a good life. a better life. you deserve the best. put yourself first for once. do the right thing for you....hugs bama
