You're right. my apologies Lisa.
Hippie is a sensitive word, can be interpreted in many different ways.
Honey, you are so young, with your whole life ahead of you. I think you should come clean and get real help - not just with the pills themself, but with the bigger issues that go with them. You are on the right track. I think you should absolutely go to your doctor and get the best help available to you. And keep posting here for additional support.
Asides:
Newzor, not all "hippies" are happy drug users - or drug users at all.
Fibropainaddict, Furei608 is dealing with Oxycontin, not Hydrocodone. I don't know whether Furei is taking the Oxycontins whole or cutting them. But, in general, Oxycontin is an extended release medication, while Hydrocodone is immediate release. For that reason, Oxycontin should NEVER be cut (in half or otherwise).
I know u can quit ... I quit hydros there is a lot of support here.... you are very young and u have a lot to look forward to in your life and when u r done this will be a small bump in the road that u will be proud of accomplishing I have faith in u...email me if u want to talk more I get my emails to my cell
I too am in the process of coming off hydrocodone. My recommendation is to cut down 1/2 a pill daily until you are off, or if you have enouph, stay on the reduced dose 2 days, and keep cutting down by 1/2 a pill daily. You will feel better and better everyday, I know I do. The beginning was very hard, and I was so scared. But stay strong and cut down daily and slowly. It will happen for you, and by 2 weeks, you will be off. Try to stay busy watching tv, drinking lots of liquids so it leaves your system faster, and stay positive. You can do this, and so can I. Take my practical advise and stay disciplined. I believe in you!!! Love to you, and I care.
You really should confide in an adult and get some professional help. A Doctor or parent would be a great idea. You're so young, and with a whole life ahead of you. You need to get some help with this now before it gets to be a life threatening problem. You need to detox, but also learn life lessons on how to cope when peer pressure or stress makes you want to use again. Tell your parents or a Doctor ASAP.
