many narcs cause itching and a rash..especially in large doses..what dose of sub were u on? that is the number one complaint from most on large doses of any narcotic including sub....r u tapering down to stop narcotics? i am not sure of ur intent? or to see if sub works for the pain....if u want to have children and do not want them born addicted to narcotics/i am a nurse and it is a very sad site to c a newborn in wds/..it is best to get on off of them for now..keep posting
As Flordia siad that rash most likely was an allergic reaction if you take them agian you are risking a much worse reaction that would be very unwise .If you want to go of meds I would either taper off of them or CT.I can relate to the reproductive problems I had a hysterectomy at 33 and I dont regret it at all.I dont have the pain anymore or all of the other problems.Sometimes I wish I could have another child and we may adopt one at some point not to mention I was lucky enough to have the ones I did .Some people can,t ever have any .You can get threw this .
its also possible that you are allergic to something other than the opioid pain killing drug- Buprenorphine, in the suboxone. Its definitely a possibility because if you have tried many opioids for your pain, buprenorphine is in an opioid class with quite a few other ones making a big possibility that one of the other opioids you have tried would have given you the same symptoms- the rash,. etc. and if you are super itchy that is jsut the effects of all strong opiates..that is a normal and beyond common side-effect, taking a anti-histamine, such as benadryl, zyrtec, or Hydroxyzine will not only help with the itch it will potentiate the opiates pain killing effects, but will also add to the drowsiness and overall pleasurable/addictive effects as well. I definitely understand that if you are in severe pain that is chronic that a doctor that specializes in pain is a must and I understand how important it is to get the pain controlled.
Did they actually test you if you were allergic to Ibuprofen and all other NSAIDS( Naproxen generic for Aleve, Advil, Celebrex, and whole bunch of others that are in the same category)?
Did they also test you to see if you were actually allergic to either of the two drugs in Suboxone-Buprenorphine and Naloxone, or for a filler in the orange pill?
Those two questions are crucial in trying to find you consistent pain relief as well as limiting how fast you will become dependant on a drug or how abd the addiction will be? I
t really stinks, I know that severe pain is terrible and overall I know it truly feels like the only relief for the pain that you have found is through narcotic opiate pain relievers..try your hardest, really try, to seek any and all pain medications that are not opioids/opiates. Suboxone is mainly used as an opiate addiction treatment med. There is Subutex, just the synthetic opioid buprenorphine, which you could then see if it is the actual pain killer in suboxone, Buprenorphine, that you are allergic or if it is something else.I was first on suboxone for 8months at the highest effective dose able to be prescribed, 32 mgs a day. after 8 mths, I then had to switch to methadone, which I don't know if you have already tried or not, but if you haven't, I do not recommend it at all. Or more realistically make sure that you have tried absolutely everything else possible, non-opiate and opiate, for the pain before starting the methadone because once you do it it becomes something that is a daily thing that you must stick with and continue with if you are on it for more than 2-3 months. Once passing that length of time even if the dose is only 10mgs two times a day you have to make it a routine, it is a very powerful and effective pain management opiate, but at the same time it is extremely addictive or better put compared to all other opiates that are strong, methadone makes someone dependent on it very fast,. easily, and you have to be extremely careful in getting down and off of it The same goes with Suboxone, if you stop the medications without tapering off first you will go through horrid horrid wds, Its literally 100x worse than the absolute most severe heroin or fentanyl wd possible. Both suboxone and Methadone wds last longer than a month and get worse and worse each and every day. I have now been on a methadone treamtent for a little over a year and for my severe addiction to heroin and oxycontin, it has really helped me stay away from my DOCs and helped me start to put my life back together, but at the same time I am now fully dependent on going to the clinic every morning. I cannot miss a day otherwise you get soo sick you puke the whole time, have constant hot/cold flashes, goosebumps, etc..the list goes on. So if you have tried everything else and have found that you are indeed allergic to all NSAID pain relievers and to Buprenorphine then look into methadone..But truly for your safety and saving you a life worth of destruction, degradation, and basically the slow inevitable destruction of everything is one's life due to the addiction opiates cause, please make sure you have tried everything else possible before settling with opiates. I would love to help you in any way find another alternative for your pain..anything at all, i would lvoe to help with anything at all, let me know, and if i dont hear back, i wish you the best of luck with everything and same for your family-christos
if the sub gave you a rash, why would you take it again? Sounds like you had an allergic reaction. Could you taper from your percs? I was on percs/patches and tapered for 3 weeks and then quit.
Just a thought,
