Ive yet to read someone whose had headaches as painful as mine. My doctor Installed a spinal chored stimulator to help with mine because all the meds; Mybloc,Botox injections Oxycodone 30 mg, and Oxycotin and countless others do not work at all. My headaches are unique in that light nor loud noise DO NOT bring them on. Ive done oxygen and reading other testimonies makes me envious. I wish vicodine or a percocet would help, but Ive been fighting this for 5 years, been hospitalized for months, had 3 surgeries on my head, one without anastesia and to no avail. I thought the SCS was gonna answer my issue; thats 6 rods threaded up my back that are connected to a battery. Then im given a remote control to send electricity to my head to numb it. Well after a week of its installation, I had a bad headache and pressed the remote to numb it,but the remote got stuck and the rods moved, causing involintary movement of my arms. When I went to the ER to ask them to remove it they refused citing a liability issue. So for three days I suffered being electricuted till I had it removed THE FOLOWING MONDAY! Im begging for an answer,If you have one ,please please help me. On top of that ,I suffer from Sickle cell and Avasular Necrosis which pain me,but are nothing compared to these headaches.
hi honey yea i've been getting headaches (but i just thought it was my family giving them to me.)I started getting them about 3 weeks but motrin will handle them. I think that our bodys are going to be doing some wierd stuff for a long time. We put the pills in for a long time it will take a long time for our bodys to be back to normal. (i think i remember what that was like)I've been reading the post sounds like your doing great staying focused. Take Care Terri
Hey ther Shelby. I know that I only have 16 days clean. but I am having migraines. I had to get the doc to give me some Imitrex to help me. if you get it. make sure you get the nostril spray. 20 mil. its the best..
Thanks guys. So much fun being in recovery isn't it? lol
Imitrex - does that have any side affects? I am so wary about taking anything else.
Nice to see you Terri! You must be busy. That is wonderful - getting on with living. Going to be a hot week - just remember sunscreen!
