Percocet w/drawal after only 1 month

Hey guys, I wont go into too much history but I was on Norco for 2 years after spinal fusion.  Past year i would always take way too many in the beginning of the month then have to really start counting & taking very few just to make it to next refill.  When i took required dose, it wouldn't touch my back pain.  Doc changed me to percocet l0 last month & i got good relief but could NOT wait the required 6hrs so took too many again.  Well, i'm out now & was wondering how bad it's going to get. i'ts been almost 24hrs & i'm just REAL sore ALL over, in addition to back pain. of course, taking tylenol & ibuprofen is a joke!!.  i am soooo tired of this...

thanks, its hard, but im actually feelin a little better not alot but i laughed and smiled and had fun today so im good.
i had the same problem take to much in the beginning and run out at the end, good thing here is that we have a clinic you can go to and each visit they give u 12 so well that was always a back up but it was a 4 hour wait to get in. so sucked, and yea i still got pain from surgery and all and could get more for a while longer but have made the decision to quit so i did and ill never go back on them again.
but if you feel you are going to be in trouble go see dr. and tell him you were takeing more cuz it was a bad few weeks and im sure he will help u, i even once told my doc i lost them and he gave me another script, i shouldnt be saying these this to you becuase it is bad behavior and wrong and i feel bad that i did it in the past but i guess i just want you to know i been there too and i know how you feel

ohh y'all, i thot i did want off them completely cuz i've been addicted before & thot i was just caught up in it all over again....but MAN!!!!...this back pain is excruciating (even w/ my TENS unit on full blast!!haa) I'm scared to death to tell doc that i went against his Rx for fear he'll drop me.  prob is, i did abuse the pills & i know they've got me & i don't want...CANT have this again.  it's been the same for about a year, take too many 1st of month then have to suffer pain while tapering until next refill & finally releif. how do i tell my doc that he finally gave me a pill that works but i took them against his orders?  thanks for the advice;  GMcp, god i hope ure better soon...ure freaking me out w/ what i have in store for me (haaa). try that hot bath...seriously, if u can!

Hi-- It's hard to say as everyone is different. The truth is you WILL have withdrawals.

Are you planning on staying off for good?  It sounds like you truly are in pain and maybe you need a pain med adjustment. If you took extra because of severe pain you need to call the doctor for a med that will work. If you abused the pills, still call the doctor for help. Do that today.

Motrin does work. Give it a chance. Tale 800mg 3x per day.

Good luck!
