i am addict of dry cough syrup since 2003 to now, and you can not imaged how pain full it is.  please kindly if you have any solution regarding this problem, ahead to help me.

you say this is a painful addiction, you say it all you  need to know about this now.. you need quitting it.. if you keep reading other posts, you will see that there is no other way when something is hurting ourselves that to stop taking it... Yeah, easier said than done but really there is no other way.. you will need making some changes... quitting is easier than staying clean.. learn about yourself and the reasons you are taking this substance, .. after quitting DXM, you won't have physical wds but  depression is one of the effects, you could talk to a doctor in that case if it takes a toll on you to get an antidepressant...Otherwise,  a disciplined life with healthy eating, exercise, rest and healthy friends will help you once you stop taking the cough syrup.. don't trade this addiction for anything else that could become addictive.. pls, take care of you... if you need posting, do it, we will support you

Hi,you could be psychologically addicted to this.I really do not know alot about this.Hopefully someone else on here does.

not really i don't tack because of hallucinogen, but it makes me Patience on critical conditions.

the dextromothorphan in this is a hallucinogen if taken in high quantities.Is that what you are using this for?

Each 5ml contains :

1: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide USP............ 10mg
2: Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride USP.............. 30mg
3: chlorpheniramine maleate USP....................... 2mg

What kind of cough syrup have you been using?  Is it a prescription or over-the counter?  I think if you give a little more information (like how much you're using) you may get some more answers.
