Please help..what is this drug?
Hi there everyone,
I hope someone can please help me. My boyfriend has had difficulty with vicoden and was gradually taken off of it, finally done a few weeks ago.
This is my dilemna; I just (minutes ago) found a box in his dresser that had 3 tiny green pills (I looked them up -they are ocycotin (sp?) and worse he had two small white packets. They are wrapped in wax paper and look like tiny satchels (size of walnut) and are tipped off at top and seem glued or somehow sealed to stay shut. What the heck are they? Is that cocaine?
And what do I do? How do I approach him about this? PLEASE HELP!!! Where can I get the packets tested to be sure of what it is.

The white packets could be ground up pain killers. I know people that do that so that instead of the drug being gradually released into the body it is completely absorbed into the blood stream.

i suggest that you contact a narcanon member to help you with boundaries, addiction is a family disease, i destroyed my family on the same drugs your bf is doing
there is always hope that he will find recovery, if he will not seek help for himself, then you will need to decide what you are willing to put up with, i have dated several people who left me because they did not want to put up with an opiate addict

The green pills are Oxy Contin. Does one side say OC and the other say 80. If so, they are Oxy Contin's. The bag, sounds like Heroin. I am not postive though. But the green little pills, I am almost positive they are Oxy's.
those are 80mg oxycontins, a whole lot stronger than vicodin and harder to get off. when you approach him be careful about your wording as he may become irritated and feel like he is being attacked. like rebel said, show concern.
the little packets is probably cellophane( the plastic around ciggarette packs), you light it with a lighter and can seal it shut, im not sure as to the contents, i recomend asking him. but remember show concern not judgement. best of luck i hope he leaves the oxy alone they are a dead-end

Right about hydrocodone in Vicodin (not oxycodone), I'm tired and didn't even notice.
Actually Vicodin has Hydrocodone with acitominophen. Oxycodone is in percocet and Oxycontin to name a few. Oxycodone is much stronger than hydrocodone.
I agree in just asking what the packets are, show concern not judgment. It could be cocaine, speed, heroin, etc...

Vicoden is a brand name for oxycodone with acetaminophen. Oxycontin is a brand name for controlled release oxycodone. Same opioid. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
Not sure about the white packets though. You can order testing kits online - just look up 'field drug tests'. But you might as well just ask him what it is instead of going through all that. If he won't be honest about it with you, there's not much you can do in any case.
