Preggo and pills

I posted down below but was wondering will it hurt my baby if I CT off of pain pills.  I starting taking the Dec 15th and was taking 5/325 maybe 16 a day, at least 4 per day.  I haven't taken any today, but took a boat load yesterday.  Now I am going crazy out of my mind.  Since I haven't been doing them long, won't the baby do ok  I am six months

My dr that gives me seroquel says it is safe.  I know I told him about the class C.  I took seroquel when I was pregnant with my son.  He seems ok but he does cry a lot and often I wonder if that was an effect of the medcine.  He is very smart through and for 2 he talks very well.

this is some info on seroquel
Is Seroquel Safe During Pregnancy?
Seroquel® (quetiapine fumarate) may not be safe for women who are pregnant. In previous animal studies that looked at the effects of the drug during pregnancy, Seroquel increased the chance of miscarriage and other problems.

Seroquel and Pregnancy Category C
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) uses a category system to classify the possible risks to a fetus when a specific medicine is taken during pregnancy. Pregnancy Category C is given to medicines that have not been studied in pregnant humans but that do appear to cause harm to the fetus in animal studies. Also, medicines that have not been studied in any pregnant women or animals are automatically given a pregnancy Category C rating.

When given to pregnant rats and rabbits, Seroquel caused low birth weight, slow development, and miscarriages. However, it is important to note that animals do not always respond to medicines in the same way as humans. Therefore, a pregnancy Category C medicine may be given to a pregnant woman if her healthcare provider believes that the benefits to her outweigh any possible risks to the unborn child.

I'm prettyn sure that going cold turkey no matter what month will put stress on you and your baby.  I carried my last child taking lortabs the whole time.  By the grace of God she was ok and Family Services did not take her away.  I do NOT suggest you go this route.  I'm guessing they are not your script?  It doesn't matter.  Get to your OB and tell them what is going on.  They WILL help you.  You don't want to take the chace of something being wrong with your child.  A child is a gift from GOD.  Please talk to them.  All they will do is start you on a tapering system so there's not so much stress on you or the baby.  Feel free to send me a message if you would  like to talk more.

Much Love and God Bless~Mom of M&M
