Fibromyalgia and severe back pain.
What sort of pain do you have?
I will try but it is easy to say. Just tell my pain to go away then everything will be fine.
I see ur not pregnant yet. That's great. Then u should get with ur prescibing physician to make a plan to taper off the medication because u r trying to get pregnant. No meds is so much safer.
There is always a risk of a baby being born addicted if u take them while pregnant but if the ob knows they can help to guide u to the safest path for the baby. This medication is prescribed during pregnancy but it should be monitored.Honesty is the best policy because as long as they ob knows the baby wont be taken away. Also tapering off under a doctors supervision at the end of the pregnancy will help a ton so the baby isnt addicted and doesn't have withdrawl.Honesty with ur doctor is scary but it makes all the difference in the world.
How much do you take a day?
Hi Themaddness Welcome to the forum.. If you take any pain med with opiate in it your baby would be born addicted.. CPS would not get involved if your pain management was under the care of a Dr. and your OB is aware also.. It would be so much better to be off all drugs before getting pregnant. Many in pain management have to a drug holiday while having a child You may find your pain a little better as opiates can sometimes cause the brain to produce more pain to get more opiate.. I wish you the very best.. lesa
I am not pregnant or actively trying at this time. I want to get off this medication if I can. I am legally getting them.
If you are taking these legally then someone must be prescribing them for a medical condition that your OB is aware of. So? What's the deal. You are playing with fire here concerning the childs health and your rights to custody. Time to fess up to the OB.
How many are you taking a day? Have you discussed this with your OB?
