Quit Day Oxycontin - What Do i need on my list?

Congrats to all you successful quitters!  -- Any suggestions for my list for Quit day?   Thank you.
Quitting Friday, July 3rd back to work on Wed. on July 8 – So, I have 5 days off work to withdraw myself off oxycontin. After my 2 mos of tapering, it seems that I hover around 25 mg per day, I can’t seem to get below that, but have 9 days to try….  I’m mostly afraid of not being able to sleep. Here is my list of things I’m going to have readily available. Am i missing anything? What other types of food might be good, I have had a poor appetite for a long time, I get hungry, but no desire to cook or eat unless someone puts food in front of me.
Things to get:
Gatorade
7-up
Imodium
Vitamins -- Got the L-Tyrosine 500, B complex and B-12, C, E, -- What else?
Clonidine (0.2 mg) 1 per day
Valium (10 mg, night time for if needed)
Ativan 1 mg (if needed)
Pot (just a little at bed time) 1 puff (not a pot smoker) but pro medical marijuana
Popsicles
soup
boost & ensure
what else?

That's a good list you've got there -- the two benzos, used judiciously, are very helpful. You might add melatonin to the list; in my experience with "normal" insomnia, I found that 3-9mg sublingual is safe to mix. If the sleep thing drags on and on -- depends on your chemistry -- see if you can get a script for trazodone -- an old-time anti-d that really knocks some people out -- get the 50mg, and you can up the dose up to about 150mg or lower it when you don't need it. The dry mouth can be pretty annoying -- keep a pitcher of water on the night table, and gum or mints (I prefer Hall's cherry -- no sugar).

Let us know -- you won't feel like it at times -- how it's going, and best of luck!

Congrats on the successful taper, i could never do that, so be VERY proud of yourself...

Sounds like you are ready to quit! I, personally take 5-HTP for mood, seems to help me and HOT baths...since you'll be home, try to walk outside as much as possible or get a bunch of movies (comedies) if possible and just watch them...if you just sit around and think about your WDs all day long, you'll drive yourself bannanas...another thing you may want to get, bannanas.

also, this site will help ya out! (oh, an for me, sneezing drove me nuts, so lots of tissues)

:)

Good luck...you'll get through this!!!

Congrats on tapering and a quit date!

Sounds like you are all set to go. Be careful with the Valium, the Ativan and the Pot. Don't put yourself in a position to get addicted to something else.

Best of luck and keep us posted.
