no, ultram is not contro for revia, i was on revia years ago before they started prescribing ldn (low dose naltrexone/revia), i was on 50mg (now they prescribe under 10mg), after 3 months on the revia i was hospitalized for liver problems and my hair started falling out, i had to wear my hair short while i was on it, wow i forgot about that,, i am not even sure it helped that much with cravings, meaning i still had the cravings revia was supposed to stop, in the end i have accepted that i will always have opiate cravings even going strong at 5 yrs clean, i do not like it but found a way to manage without using.....good topic, please post more about your revia dose and anything you go through while taking it
i would not advise someone to take benzos for opiate detox,,,, medications used for wd syptoms where i work are trazadone if the patient cannot sleep, clonidine patch for bp or aggitation, vistoril for anxiety in extreme cases illmodil for gastro problems, if someone becomes violent or suicidle they are put on a short term antip, its better to wait and see what wd symptoms you are going to have before you start asking your doctor for meds, i have seen too many people including friends od from using benzos during home tapers, the doctor will put older alcoholic patients on valuim for 3 days max if needed, but even in these situations they lean more towards seizure meds
its hard to detox by yourself, and the worst thing to do is over medicate you detox symptoms, we all need to feel the pain of detox, i will always remember the helll of detox, it was a gift, there are days when i want to use but i am scared of that detox
good luck, sorry this is so long, i have not been here for a while, lost the feel of internet forums, not in the groove so to speak
Will diazepam help for coming off tramadol? I am also very addicted to this drug and i would like to get off it, tried twice and failed. Withdrawls are too hard, especially an uncontrollable tensing and jerking that i get in my back. It's awful. Would my doctor be likely to prescribe me diazepam if it helps with the WD's?
i`m off of hydrocodone, but am on tramadol now for pain..i`ve tried quitting it,but go into opiate withdrawl.i`ve never used revia..i`m getting a prescription to 10mg. diazepam to use so i can kick the tramadol.
