Right in the thick of it fn pain killers

I started with some back pain in 02. I nursed that excuse till about a year ago.Now I know I pulled my back and it probebly went away in a month or two. But my doctor gave me a script of 40 vicoden 750 ml every 2 weeks.for about 6 months. Then he tried to ween me off. huh..that didn't happen. Now I bye them for 5 bucks a piece and I'm out of money, Friend, And hope. Nobody trusts me......And why should thay..Would I lie for 5 more pills...Ya. I dont want to be this *** anymore. I'm a full grown man feelin like a 17 year old boy. Worst of all I have a family. A 3 year old and another one on the way. Imaneged to keep the bulk of my sins away from them. Thay just think sometimes I'm in a really great mood or thay no thay probebly should go away for a day or two becouse I become a real *******.
Please ..I can't do this anymore.This is my 1001 saying. I,v gone one day...just one. Is it becouse I don't have money or nobody has anything I can bye.I don't know..I'v gone a week once...But as soon as I got that phone call It was over
I need to have faith in myself agian.            CAN YOU HELP...please

Please listen to what beatingthis has said to you.When the urge comes on you to make that call get on here and post.There IS a way out of this and we CAN help you,you just have to want the help and reach out for it.......Kim

Thank you.Since I have been reading these story's I'v realized I'm really not so alone.I wish I could meet alot of the people hear. I am making an attempt. But I feel weak. Like a phone call away from doing...it. Thank you for your kind words.I set an appt. with my doc. I hope he don't humilate me... i don't know what I will do

I know exactly how you feel.
I just have to warn you about something. If you don't get started now & get your life back, you WILL wind up like me. I'm a lot older than you & I'm now withdrawing from Fentanyl. I, too, had to watch my family wonder what was wrong with me. When they did find out my kids were really small. NOW I have GRANDKIDS & they can't come see me because I'm WD's AGAIN. I started just like you, with an illness.
I didn't plan to be an addict, but I am.
I think T is right. Go to your DR and tell him/her what's going on.
My DR didn't want me to stop narcotics. So, just do what I did if that's the case.
WALK OUT OF THERE WITH NOTHING! I did accept some Valium for WD's.
If you have a Benzo problem (I don't) don't take them either.
If you don't stop now, you will wake up like I did & realize you've wasted the last 29 years.
If I can WD off Fentanyl (13 days clean), you can detox too.

First I would like to ask are w/d because you can't get any or are making a attempt of getting clean. You have to be honest with your family and yourself.
It can be done. There are many here that are proff of that. They hold you up when you need it and remind you over and over why you are doing this. Can you seek rehab?
Can you talk to your doc? Tell him the truth. He can help if he won't find a doc tht will help.
Being a addict is one of them most embarssing things I have ever been through. I am 50 and was on Lortab for 5 years.
Not going to lie its hard but you can do it.
