Same Old Problem - How to stop living with a Crack, alcohol and sex addict

First time here and I am sure glad to have stumbled across this site - it is the most honest one I have ever found so far. I need help. I need to be strong enough to leave my ex-crack addict, but steady drinking partner. He may have found the way to do it for me as he has been gone six days with very little phone communication. BUT I do not want to weaken. I have supported him thru two rehabs stints and countless heart breaking scenes. How to stray strong when there is a part of me that says if I was more supportive we could work this thru? That really he needs help not the boot?
Suggestions? Thank you. . . oh and did I mention sex addict as well?

please go to the top of this page and click into the social site and read the one about "hounding me to post " or something like that. Talks about getting off the ride, a great help for me.

I just read another post where you gave some of the single best advice to a young girl that I have read on here. Now here you are asking for help. What would you say to if you read this post from someone else? Deep down you know that you have to live your own life. I know you clearly care about this other person, but like you said you have stuck with them for 2 rehab stints and it still hasnt worked. Make him do it on his own this time and maybe the realization of losing you will help. I wish you the best of luck and obviously we are here if you have any other questions, but clearly you know a lot yourself.
