Scared To Get Back To Where I Was or Worse

I just recently got out of rehab for oxycodone dependance.  I have chronic pain so the methodone did not control the pain so i had to go back on the oxycodone.  my doctor tried to cut me off as he realized i had a problem as i had gone to rehab, but i managed to convince him to give me half my dose.  because i was on such a high dose before and taking more that prescribed, i started going through withdrawal.  oxycodone is hard to get ahold of, so i bought cocaine for the first time.  i have done half of what i bought, one gram, and am not experiencing any high at all.  so i keep snorting it.  does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should be doing at this point? i just want to kill the craving without killing myself

You do have some serious pain issues with adhesions. Also being allergic to NSAIDS does not give you many choices.I see your problem.
Can they treat some of these adhesions with laser therapy which usually does not cause as much scarring?
You are right..it is not as easy as I thought and that is why I asked about your type of pain.
I hope you find some kind of relief soon.

i have an issue that causes adhesions on some of my organs.
it causes a lot of pain and i am allergic to anti inflammatories.
i have tried everything.  acupuncture, meditation, tylenol, everything....i have been dealing with it for the past 16 years since i was a teenager.
i went off the opiates because i went to rehab as things got out of control.
i tried methodone for getting off the opiates and for pain control.  unfortunately it didnt last long and they just kept uping my dose so my doctor and my counsellor agreed for me to go back on my opiates but at half the dose as they didnt want me to self medicate as i have been doing for years.
i wish it were as easy as you say.  i am planning on having surgery but that will take months.

What kind of chronic pain do you have?I also had chronic pain of rheumatoid arthritis and when I quit the opiates my pain decreased so much that otc pain meds control it.Opiates cause more pain than what they relieve. They cause rebound pain and the more you take the more you need. They build up a tolerance.
If you have nothing for pain get some ibuprofen 400mg and take 2 every 6 hours max 2400mg/24hrs along with or alternating with tylenol 1000mg every 4 hours max 4000mg/24hrs.This will at least give you some relief.Do not keep that ibuprofen dose for more than a few days because it is just past the maximum.
You can not take that much ibuprofen if you have ulcers or kidney problems.

Coke is bad news and very expensive. Even though you went to rehab , you aren't "fixed". It takes time to get your mind and old self back. You should try thinking about staying longer next time.

they had me on a high dose of methodone when i left rehab for the pain. because i went down so much with the oxycodone i am experiencing withdrawals.
look, i know cocaine is bad.  my pain is out of control at the moment so i am not sleeping and the withdrawals are killing me.
no one seems to understand around me.  if i went to rehab i should be 'fixed' right?

and its not just the pain that is out of control.  i recognize i am.
it is not like me to just go and try something like cocaine.  my dealer only had that so i took it.  stupid.  i know, i know.

i do want to quit eventually.  once they can get the pain under control.

i used to buy off the streets and i have done that a couple of times since i came back from rehab.

This is not the solution.  I too live with pain, chronic pain and have abused my tramadols because of it.  I thought I could handle it.  Now I know I cannot handle any pain medication.  We must live with the pain, that is our lot.  I was also hooked on cociane.  Why do you think this is a substitute for oxycotin?  If I were you I'd go back to the rehab, or chekc in somewhere.  You're in over your head.  The sooner you realize that th better off you will be.  Cocaine is extrememly addicting and illegal.  There are horror stories associated with purchasing and using cocaine.  Also coming off of coke make the obsession 1,000 times worse.  That's the catch with coke, there's no phy. wd but the mental obsession to use is enough for a normal person to do the most desperate things you can imagine.  And there are physical problems assosiated with the coke as well.  Heart rate increases to heart attack levels.  Even if you're having a heart attack and you're hooked you'll keep using the obsession is that bad.  FOR GOD SAKES DON'T SUBSTITUE COKE FOR OXYCOTIN!  I hope you will be able to cope with your pain, it doesn't seem fair does it.  If we just didn't have the damn pain we wouldn't have to get addicted.  I'm addicted to tramadols now and used them legitamately to kill pain.  They stopped working so I'd take more.  The more I did the more I hurt so I took more.  You know the end of the story.  I'm about ready for rehab too if I can't use this last script to taper.  I know they'll probably freak on me here, but what about soboxones?  And if you just went to rehab then you shouldn't be addicted.  So you shouldn't be going through a wd.  Who knows how many of them you took already.  If you out of the woods as far as a wd goes, flush the pills they are the devils doing.  If you're hooked again get help  Oxy's are bad.

No, they wanted to keep uping my dose of the methodone but it was not working at all for the pain other than 45 minutes of pain relief. so my doctor put me on half my dose and that is not working and because i live in canada my methodone doctor cannot prescribe methodone if i am on oxycodone and my doctor cannot prescribe methodone.  i have to get to a pain clinic to get a specific order but it takes four months to get in.

Agree with above.  Not good to mix the two anyway.  I'm sure you know that.
Not much can be done about the cravings. That has to come from deep inside of you.
You have to toughen up and beat it down. It's hard but can be done.
Are you out of Percocet now?  Best not to hit the streets to buy. You don't know what junk you're getting, although it may look like a real pill.    Don't snort anymore. It's probably been cut 20 times...
Are you wanting to quit?  Are you still taking Methadone?
