Severe Headaches from Suboxone, is this normal?

I have been using suboxone to kick a vicodin addiction, I have been off the Vicodin for 5 days.  While it has whiped out the w/d it has been giving me terrible head aches.  I wake up every morning with a migraine and then the head ache lingers for the rest of the day.  I take 1 to 2 8 mg pills per day.  I was supposed to 3 but I didn't want to build up a strong dependence to the suboxone.  I noticed that I having been grinding my teeth at night because I wake up and my jaw is sore.  Is the head ache a normal side effect or should I go back to the doc.  I want to not take these anymore but I'm scared that I'm going to get the migraine head aches for several days longer.  Any help or advice would be nice.

Today is day 7 on the sub for me. And yes, still wake up with mild headaches, they were really bad in the beggining. I take some ibeprophen and that seems to get rid of them. I'm prone to migraines and just regular headaches, so this is not a big surprise to me.  Hopefully as your body gets use to the sub. the headaches will go away. Try some ibeprophen. Good luck.

My sister and I were also having headaches and vomiting. She says she is still waking up with mild headaches. Mine thank goodness have stopped.  We never really found the cause of these.   I would definatley call your doctor and tell him what is going on. Sorry your having a ruff time.   Mary

you should definitely talk to your doctor, for me i was on 32 mgs of suboxone and every once in a while I would get some bad headaches, but not most of the effects you are experiencing, it would be best to let your doctor know and to stick to his dosage schedule
