Severe anxiety

I'm really struggling with anxiety , I'm going to see my gp on Friday an was wondering wether to ask for something to help
I don't want Any benzos at all
So was thinking of beta blockers  I've had them before for my fast heart rate , I just don't know if they will help at all
Has anyone els tried them for anxiety ?
I'm really struggling to leave my house I'm constantly worried about everything and not sleeping it's driving me nuts
Any ideas ?

Sorry but if it's that bad benzo's are the only instant solution, the non narcotic anti depressants and anti anxiety meds they give you for it all take weeks to start working and its not instant relief. You will probably have to continue trying all sorts of different meds and supplements until you find the right one for you and good luck I still haven't been able to now for over 20 years

Hello. Personally I have tried valerian root and seems to help a little. All natural. But check with pharmacy or dr. I've heard it can interactions with other meds. Just a thought. Take care.
